Nope.
President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

This says Gil was 2007
First drafted starter since Earl Monroe.
It will be Wall’s second straight all-star game appearance. He was a coach’s selection last season; his fan coronation is uncharted territory for the Wizards. The No. 1 selection in the 2010 draft, Wall is the first player drafted by the franchise voted as a starter since Earl Monroe received the nod in 1971 when the team was still in Baltimore.
Wall is the 11th player in Wizards history to earn an all-star start. The previous Wizards player voted in as a starter was Gilbert Arenas in 2007. Before Arenas, Michael Jordan concluded his career with starts in the 2002 and ‘03 games.

Love it. Call it what you like, jumpin' on while the iron is hot, but happy that Lowe called it like he sees it with these overrated no lookers and how Wall does it with a purpose. Say what you want about our boy Wall, he should be more aggressive at times, has some bone headed TOs, and maybe should settle for less mid rangers, but our boy has arrived. We have a All Star starter, when is the last time we could say this. Shiiiiiit, last season we were all saying stop with the floater. Congrats Johnny.

I stand corrected.

Congrats to John Wall. Truly deserved.

I expect he has been pacing himself and working on his game.
Floater
Post moves
Running the team and pace.
Hard dribble shoot, pace, continue to drive
etc.
Look out post AS break... I think he is going to ball out...
won't be surprised if he doesn't average 20 and 10

Best PG in the East.
Soon, it will be best PG in the league.
Then, dare I say, MVP candidate.

Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

Re: Official John Wall Appreciation Thread 2.0
16 assists and only 2 turnovers.
And while he only made one, he did get up 6 threes. at least one was a end of half chuck though.
The team got up only 14 so without Wall attempts it would have likely looked more like 10
At least he was will to put them up. I'll take it. I bet more start falling if he keep it up.
And 16 assist is pretty awesome.

He made you feel like you could be something'
It was fitting that shortly after Maryland guard Dez Wells hit a game-winner to lift his team to a 68-67 win over Northwestern, a game that aired on BTN, that same network would debut an episode of its acclaimed series “The Journey” that spotlighted that very senior.
One of the centerpieces of Wells’ story revolved around his relationship with Washington Wizards guard John Wall, with whom Wells grew up in Raleigh, N.C. The two played high school basketball together for three years at Word of God Academy.
“I stayed at his house a lot my senior year in high school,” Wall joked. “Make sure he gets to school on time, make sure I get to school on time.”
“John has been like a big brother,” Wells said. “John was like one of the first guys that I saw in Raleigh like really make it so I just kept working and he always told me, you know, hard work pays off. He was one of those guys that you looked up to and it was just like, he made you feel like you could be something.”
As Wells helped Maryland to a win, Wall was in Denver putting up 19 points and 16 assists while committing just two turnovers in a 117-115 Wizards victory over the Nuggets.
“It’s fun and exciting seeing him develop and grow,” Wall said on BTN. “He’s looking at me and I’m telling him at the same time I’m also looking at him and seeing what he’s doing to help his team become one of those elite teams in college basketball.”

Wall interview post Denver game.
http://www.monumentalnetwork.com/videos ... me-1-25-15
One thing that stood out to me was the every end where he is talking about open threes. He is talking about DEN but says something about get swing swing open 3s. That's what we want.
This is what I haven't been seeing though that they did more of last year. Swing swing open 3s.
What's stopping it from happening ?

Re: Official John Wall Appreciation Thread 2.0
I just want to say I'm so happy Wall is a Washington Wizard. This guy may be a flawed player, i.e. poor 3pt shooter, turnover prone, lacks the clutch gene but its just so great to have a guy who can affect the game on both sides of the ball. In fact I think its his ability to dominate a game despite his flaws that has me most excited about him. Its not hard to imagine him improving every year, last year it was his pick and roll game and 3pt shooting, this year hes been better with the mid range shot and has added a deadly floater. Next year who knows? maybe his TO% comes down or maybe not and instead he becomes a truly efficient player or maybe he averages 12 assists. He defiantly was worthy of the first overall pick in 2010.
