Real sloppy first half by Looney at Oregon State. Loose with the ball, getting tossed around in the paint. He needs to be around the perimeter when he gets his touches--at least until he adds about 20 pounds. Speaking of touches, dude gets none on that team. It's the Alford show, which explains why they're so awful collectively.

Payton II is a helluva defender like pops.

Looney's length coming through in this second half. Real active defensively and on the boards helping UCLA get back in the game. He is so long. Biggest weakness is his lack of strength, but with a body that long, it's understandable why he isn't there yet like most guys.

Just another double-double for Looney. 10 points, 5 offensive rebounds, 6 defensive rebounds, 2 steals, and a block. He was 3-10 FG, however, majority of those misses were put back attempts after offensive boards, shot 1-2 from 3 point range. One offseason in the weight room and he's a flat out monster.'

Also, Bobby Portis with a game winning tip-in.

Just watched Stanley Johnson play against Stanford. Real solid game. Two way player with a nice stroke from deep, seems like a 3 and D guy as a floor, with the potential to be a decent 2nd option for a ceiling.

Time for the Pac 12 scouting night to continue with Upshaw vs. Colorado.

I think he's really stunted on offense at NBA level. I'm surprised you call him a 2 way player.

Can't say i've watched much College Bball this year, but Russel's stats for a freshmen guard sure are impressive.

He's just so physical and strong, so I can see him bullying his way into the paint if he doesn't always settle for jumpers. I would lean more with a 3 and D guy though over being an all-around offensive guy.

Pretty much what I see of him, I started watching him exclusively for a while after buying into the superstar hype and ended up very disappointed.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if he turns into a Kawhi Leonard clone but that's my best expectation of him.

Must be the altitude, but a very unimpressive performance by Upshaw considering his last two games against the Oregon schools. The guy stands in the paint all day, won't be able to get away with that at the next level. Has conditioning issues, poor touch around the rim on post moves, and isn't that active as far as agility wise on either side of the ball. He's got great size and length which are great tools, but I wouldn't use a first round pick on him.

It's been ages since we had a Point with potential as high as Mudiay. He isn't Magic, but his upside is immense and having an athletic Point with his instincts in this age of Point Gods is necessary to not be blown out on a consistent basis. John Wall-like potential is nothing to sneeze at. Much rather have a good wing though.
On Harden being MVP of this season ( I don't even like Harden much)

we could use some international star power on this team.

The thing that scares me about him is that he may not declare for this year's draft. After I asked the question, I looked him up and the first link that came up was to a page that had him quoted as saying that he didn't know if he'll declare as he wants his team to win a championship or something.

not declaring isn't a problem, can just draft somebody else but the worse part is drafting these euros high and waiting 2-3years before they decide to come over.

Lakers are gonna end up with 3 of the first 35 picks.

Our Top 5 pick, Houston's 15-30 pick, and our 31-35 pick. If we hit a homerun this draft we won't really have to worry about the future picks.

Jahlil Okafor, Justin Anderson, and Terry Rozier would be a great draft.
Sign Greg Monroe and roll out

PG Terry Rozier/Jordan Clarkson
SG Kobe Bryant/Nick Young
SF Wesley Johnson/Justin Anderson
PF Greg Monroe/Julius Randle
C Jahlil Okafor/Ed Davis

Draftexpress.com has Anderson going 23 and Rozier 33.

There is no way either of them go top 15.

Exactly. We could sign dragic or knight to fill the pg spot. I think what we need is a wing or a C, but lets see how it plays out

Knight is an undersized shooting guard who can't pass. Take a look at his assist to turnover ratio, its pitiful. No thanks. I would rather roll with another year of Ronnie Price if that's who we're blowing our load on.
