Prior to the season, if you told me Suns would be a game behind the Spurs after 44 games I would be shocked.

There are going to be a ton of snubs in the west this year, moreso than usual. Probably around 18-20 guys you could make a legitimate case for.

If I had to choose, I reward this year's good teams over the bad - id take 2x guys from seeds 1-4 and 1x guy from seeds 5-8. Thus, the roster would look like:

Curry, Thompson
Aldridge, Lillard
Conley, Gasol
Nowitzki, one of Monte/Rondo/Chandler
Harden
Griffin
Duncan
Bledsoe

But then you leave off guys like Durant and Westbrook, who will obviously be selected even though they've both missed a bunch of games and their team isn't currently in the playoff picture.

In reality, Bledsoe, Duncan, Aldridge (injured) and the 2nd Dallas player will be replaced above by Durant, Westbrook, Chris Paul and Anthony Davis (voted in). That also replaces Kobe even though that's not assured yet. Cousins also gets a snub.

Curry, Lillard, Westbrook, Paul, Conley
Thompson, Harden
Durant
Griffin, Nowitzki
Davis, Gasol

Wow, Portland just lost at home to the Celtics. Batum fell back to earth, Lillard misses more potential game-winners

but it looks like Batum might have injured his wrist again. not sure about severity but if he misses time, a viable scenario then must be for OKC to simply take Portland's spot instead of ours.

Portland is 5 games up on us and therefore 8 ahead of OKC. Do people realize how hard it is to make up even a few games in half a season? It would take an epic meltdown for Portland to miss. Well keep in mind that Portland last year played average ball after their hot start, and their injury issues last year don't even compare to this season's. Yes they'll probably still hold on to the division but it's not far-fetched to speculate that OKC could make it interesting.

It is far-fetched though. Impossible, no. Far-fetched, yes. The odds of it happening are much lower than the odds of Phoenix simply holding off OKC or passing SA. So our viable option certainly shouldn't be for OKC to take Portland's spot. It's probably the least viable option we have to make the playoffs.

Portland lost 5 of their last 6 games and could easily lose 8 of their next 10, if Batum misses time.

First of all Batum injured his wrist. Secondly what do you mean Lillard missed "again"? He never got an oppotunity against the Suns because of the terrible pass from Steve Blake. Thirdly, there was one second left and Steve Blake gave Lillard the worst possible angle on the pass and turned down an open Wes Matthews.

I was watching the game live, you can POR fans were pissed. Even on their forums their mad.

Steve Blake should probably not be their inbounder anymore.

I could see the Blazers slippin though.

I was watching that on Ballstreams, and I literally typed on the chat "you're letting Blake inbounding again?" lol.

KINGS are a joke, would of trapped him after he was 4/4... how could Cousins sit there and be happy. Just a joke of coaching strategy and effort.

I don't understand why the Kings didn't start intentionally fouling. You'd rather give 2 pts per possession rather than 3.

It wouldn't of made a difference if they started fouling him since during that stretch Kinga were outscored by 34 points. So maybe they could of fouled here and there but the lead still would of been in the 20s.
