I see a non-flashy but more smooth Brandon Jennings.

Does he ever finish with his right hand?

Even going to his right, he changes his whole body so he could lay it up with his left hand. For such skilled player, it has to be concerning to see him not being able to finish or even attempt with his right hand.

Exum made it to the league with one hand and NOWHERE near the jumper D.Russ has.

Exum is longer and much quicker with the ball, is not even close, Exum first step is elite.

my statement wasn't a comparison to Exum's skillset or length, all I was saying is a guy can make it into the league with the aforementioned concerns that McDubbin had.

MCDubbin wrote:Manu Ginobli good comparison for him?

People constantly compare him to Manu and Harden but I think a less athletic Eric Gordon with Manu's vision and passing ability is a better comparison. He doesn't get to the paint and line like Manu and Harden do. His laid back style reminds me of Curry, McGrady, or Roy. He's having fun and chilling but he's still out there going in.

What's your point?

Exum has been a huge bust so far.

point is a guy can make it into the league without finishing with either hand or being primarily a one direction driver. If the league sees enough value in his then somebody will draft him.

Yeah but we haven't seen Exum succeed. I'm not saying D'Angelo won't get drafted in the top ten, I think he will. I'm concerned how he is gonna do in the NBA.

Russell's got a much quicker release on his jump shot. He's going to be a big scorer in the NBA. Being a MD alum, I love Greivis - dude has as much heart as any player I've seen, but no.

kid is putting on a show. more like consecutive shows. he's such a sick passer. projected as a PG he's looking like a top 5 pick.

Is he a PG or SG? I have a hard time seeing him defend NBA SG's.

i think he has the skill and iq to be a primary playmaker/decision maker.

defensively, he might have trouble at either spot although he'd have very good length for the 1.

Oh, so only the main things that really make or break guards at the next level? Ok...

Yeah but if he were to play the point, his size would help him a heap against alot of point guards on defense

Not if he's an average athlete and an average defensive player at college level. He'll just end up being Greivis Vasquez with a better outside shot. Nothing wrong with that, of course, as Vasquez is a solid back-up guard, but it's not the type of player I'd like to be spending a lottery pick on.

Don't need athleticism to be a real good PG.
