Yeah.....well Shaw made the call to cancel shootarounds and let them get more wasted the day before games while simultaneously lowering FG%. Brilliant.

This was bound to happen when you push morning shoot around to later in the day because your players "like to go out." This would be a good time for Shaw to flex some muscle and make an example out of Ty. Suspend him for 10 games. Maybe then they might start looking at Shaw as more of a coach than a friend.

Agree with the penance for Ty.

On the same hand though, I really don't want to see Shaw flex any muscle except the one that says "1,000 free throws. Ready set go!"

No sleep.

I agree with a 10 game suspension, would send the message no one is above reproach on this team...Ty got a DUI in 2008 while at UNC.

I'm sorry but Ty is a grown-ass man. He knew better than to get behind the wheel after a night of drinking (Some of the night was spent at a Nuggets-sponsored event). This isn't Shaw's fault. Sure he ain't been coaching worth a damn but you can't pile this on him.

Who said anything about it being Shaw's fault Ty got behind the wheel drunk? I'm just saying Shaw let his leash way too far with regards to discipline and a professional daily routine.

How many coaches with rings have ever openly condoned drinking every other night of the season? Ze-ro.

Phil Jackson with Rodman? He didn't care Rodman flew drinking to Vegas even during finals.

Even though you can't blame Shaw for Ty's actions, it is also asinine to say that Shaw amongst others in management haven't contributed to an environment that is very lenient towards drinking. Can you imagine Lockheed Martin telling it's engineers not to schedule any meetings before 10am so they can drink and have fun the night before?

I thought Shaw's strength was supposed to be that he was a players coach and he can manage players. He lost the team last year including the debacle with Andre Miller. How is this guy a players coach? Have I mentioned how happy I am that we got rid of the coach of the year and the executive of the year for the fiasco that we have now?
