Pacers get: DragicX2/Noel
76ers get: IT/MorrisX2
Suns get: George/MCW

Next Season = Bledsoe/Tucker/George/Wright?/Len

[tweet]https://twitter.com/Pacers/status/555811002345078786[/tweet]

Pacers get a mini rebuild with their PG of the future (and his brother) and a highly touted defensive big that can play PF next to Hibbert at C or C next to West at PF.

76ers get the improvement at PG that they are reportedly looking for. They also get the hometown twins that should fit their team a little better next season next to Embiid.

Suns gamble on a former all-star that suffered a bad looking injury. At best he remains the player that he was pre-injury, at worst he goes the route of Danny Granger. MCW would be a decent PG but he has a HORRIBLE shot. I mean its REAL BAD! Rubio has a nicer shooting form than MCW has. But the nice thing is that our head coach has helped multiple players fix their shot and turned them into great shooter (see Matthews/Hayward). At 6'6 and having the ability to average 7 rebounds and 6 assists on a horrible team, if we could fix his shooting, we could have a mini (yet taller) Bledsoe on our hands. This would make Ennis expendable in trade (Toronto?), as i believe MCW has a much higher ceiling than Ennis.

I say no go. I really like PG, but I don't think we could give up two starters for him. I don't think the Pacers are ever going to trade him either.

I really like that Batum deal though. He's a good passer and defender and we could use some of that. I hope we could swing that deal without PJ though so we could bring him off the bench, but I think that deal makes more sense from our standpoint.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Any PG trade with the Suns would include Warren as his future replacement... Dragic, Warren, Goodwin or Ennis and our first. If it comes down to Goodwin or the Lakers pick I'll keep the pick.

Defensive core of Bledsoe/George/Len with Tucker/Wright off the bench hmmm.

They just got rid of one chucker... I highly doubt they will trade for another, which will only cause a logjam to them in the future. Plus they are not giving up Monroe after how he's been playing lately.

But good thinking, if we can get any value for IT, take it and ruuuuun!

Monroe is a UFA in the summer. They have no guarantee he's staying. Maybe they hold out for most value, but I don't think Monroe is on Detroit after the trade deadline, and I don't think it's going to cost as much as it should to pry him away. I also don't think any team not in the playoff race tries to trade for him since he'll want to play on a competitive team next year.

I also am not as concerned about his lack of D with emergence of Len and now Wright as rim protectors. He is a back to the basket stud who rebounds the hell out of the ball. Sign me up!

Detroit is making a playoff push, and now with Jennings going down, their 3rd best player, we should do the honorable thing and help them out. :D

I know my trade ideas are mostly "wack crazy", and I have a serious "mancrush" on Jared Sullinger, but this is what we "know":

- Boston is collecting draft picks and expirings--their essentially tanking.
- Sullinger is on a very good contract for what he's producing, so we can assume he has crazy high value.
- Sullinger is better, cheaper, and younger than Kieff--he shoots more 3s, yet at a lower %, has a lot more rebounds, and is better defensively, and is much better than Kieff was when he was 22, so he's probably a future stud PF and provides some much needed "beef" at the PF position.

- Detroit just lost their 3rd best player at a position we have an abundance of.
- Detroit likely wants to keep Monroe and Drummond, and are in the midst of a playoff push.
- Detroit could use a serious upgrade at the SG and SF positions, and again, now at the PG position

- We have an "extra" PG
- We have an expiring SG/SF talent that is better than anything Detroit has

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=l2bnump

I don't like this trade, personally, but ultimately, it gets us my "mancrush"

Bledsoe/Dragic/Tucker/Sully/Len
Ennis/Goodwin/Warren/Bass/Wright

OR, we cut out Boston......Yes, I think Detroit might actually think about this, as it makes them better, overall, and gives them some upgrades at two positions, some added depth/flexibility. If they feel comfortable enough starting Meeks at SG, they can start Green at SF, and have Z. Dragic or Bullock as the back-up SG, or Bullock as the bench 3, all while getting a slight downgrade at the 5.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=n6sr4qk

Why for us? Obviously, we get the "star" Center in exchange for a developmental "star" Center, we get a developmental SG, and a decent bench 4, which we could use and "relieves us" from Plumlee and Bulock-- leaves them with:

Dragic/Meeks/Green/Monroe/Len
Augustin/Z. Dragic(Bulllock)/Singler(Bullock)/Tolliver/Plumlee

and us...

Bledsoe/KCP/Tucker/Kieff/Drummond
Thomas/Goodwin/CusMo/Jerebko/Wright

Or, a much simpler, thus more reasonable trade:

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=pzc3nlx

Suns in: Drummond, KCP, Caron Butler -- Essentially, we get upgrade at the 5, good developmental SG, and for the trouble, we take Butler's contract off their hands.

Detroit in: Len, Dragic -- Essentially, they get a savior for their playoff push, a really good developmental Center who may end up as good, or possibly better, than Drummond, and are freed from Butler's contract. IMO, this nearly ensures them a playoff spot in the East. They go from a 15.4/6.6/2.5 PG to a 16.7/4.0/3.6 PG, but we all know that if EB and IT were out of the picture, it'd look closer to last years stats, and would be in the neighborhood of 19/7/4 stat line.

DET -- Dragic/Meeks/Singler/Monroe/Len

PHX -- EB/Green/Tucker/Kieff/Drummond

I really see this as a win-win for everyone!

Maybe these will look not so bad after the proposed Joe Johnson acquisition...or not...bad is bad, I guess, but it's fun to do, so, sorry for pitching "less than favorable" proposals. But "gun to your head" which one do you take?

PHX out: Thomas, Tucker
PHX in: Batum, Joel Anthony (expiring filler)

Upgrades the SF position and gives us a 3rd string expiring C.

DET out: Monroe, Joel Anthony
DET in: Thomas, Meyers Leonard

Fills the hole at PG and adds a young C/PF who can stretch the floor next to Drummond.

POR out: Batum, Leonard
POR in: Monroe, Tucker

Gives them a quality 3rd big that can keep them afloat while Aldridge/ Lopez nurse injuries while also being a handy trade chip in the future. Hate to include PJ but I don't think Green gets it done as they already have a poor mans Batum in D-Wright.

Both the Hornets and Pistons will be looking for PGs with injuries to Jennings & Kemba.

It's really bad for Utah and it's too good for us and Charlotte. Even with LAL pick provabky isn't enough considering how well Hayward's played lately.

I remember when people here (maybe including myself, I can't remember my original thoughts on it) thought Hayward wasn't good enough for the rookie max and they were praying that Suns don't sign him to an offer sheet....

Monroe can veto any trade. It's in his best interest to stay on Detriot. They are the only team with his bird rights, and he may need that if he can find a team that wants to pay him, but can't afford to sign him outright.

He may be dumb enough to accept a trade, but it would probably be only to a team that is in a good spot to go deep in the playoffs.

Pistons get Thomas
Would fit perfect replacing Jennings

Suns get Calderon and Acy
I really want Calderon as that third PG, such a good 3pt shooter and a leader as well. Acy would fit well in the second unit as a deep PF/C banger

Knicks get Plumlee, Singler and Joel Anthony
Knicks get a solid starting C with Plumlee, Singler would make a good triangle SF and Anthony's an expiring

I assume he would welcome a trade to a competitive team that promised him a payday. No saying the Suns should make that promise, but I'd do it. Such a good young core.

Monroe rejected basically a max extension. He wants the full out max and will not take a cut for anyone. I don't want him at that price, particularly when Markieff produces similar numbers and is a better fit for our system due to his ability to hit a few threes and huge mid-range jumper ability.

I think the Suns have one of the worst clutch defense in the league... very predictable it seems, as in teams already know they can get a shot up the last 10 seconds of the game.

The Suns has displayed some "good" perimeter pressure defense previously, but I think its more of a testament to their depth.
As the other team gets tired, Suns just throw in fresher players to play high intensity and create turn overs due to fatigue.

They need a defensive savant guard...off the bench basically.

Outside of Chicago, who else could use wing scoring or needs bench help? Trying to think of landing spots for Gerald. Chicago I just can't see happening because the guys we want are much better than Green. Maybe they'd give a couple 2nd rounders?

Wiz, Bulls, and Cavs come to mind.
Wiz can't trade their first since they traded theirs last year to the Suns.
Bulls have the better of a swap of theirs and Cavs pick and Kings Top 10 protected pick.
Cavs have the worse of a swap of theirs and Bulls pick.

Which comes to the conclusion that the Suns probably will not get a first for Green, from either the Bulls or Cavs.
