Anyone who says tanking doesn't work needs to look at the dolphins when they could have "Sucked for Luck" and been making the playoffs for the next 15 years. Instead they choose personal pride for that season and continue to be medicore.

This isn't the NFL, and I fail to see how Andrew Luck could possibly help the Heat.

Look at NBA teams ... it rarely works.

Didnt know not making the playoffs one season make you a loser, then we dont have a solid reputation if so

What are you talking about?

You're suggesting we try by not trying? Seriously?

And then you put words into my mouth about making the playoffs? I never said we had to make the playoffs. I said we have to try to make the playoffs. I said if we missed them but we have it our all, then that was ok.

We tried tanking before. It got us Beasley. Look how that turned out. The Heat are not in the business of tanking especially with Riley in charge and Wade at the tail end of his Miami Heat career. Whiteside is essentially our lotto pick this year.

I like what he said because it settles down everyone to think realistically... 2016 is so much of a reach, even more so than 2010. We have to build with what we have now.

Maybe we can look into Dragic.. or trade for a point guard like Bledsoe... but forget Durant or Liliard... that's not going to happen..

For people who say the Heat don't tanks just remember the following:

The year Yao got drafted we were in the lottery...

The year Lebron got drafted we were in the lottery...

The year Rose got drafted we were in the lottery....

Take what you want from that.

If Whiteside continues to grow as a player we might be looking at him as our great 2016 acquisition because teams will be throwing money at him.

If.. IF we can stay healthy, and with whiteside emerging, i personally would want to face this team in the first round. Nothing to lose, championship tested vets that been in so many big moments... Throw in the young Beast we have in the middle... Could cause some trouble.

Hopefully Napier and Ennis take a step forward next year in their soph years and we'll have less to worry about in terms of acquiring players

Dragic will likely be a free agent this summer.

Problem is Dragic, Unlike Knight and Thomas, is probably going to get Max Money.

He's a little better, but he's going to get a little overpaid too IMO.

We'll need to get rid of a bunch of guys to create enough cap space if we want to add this summer. That's why trading for him if possible is key.

That's funny considering there are Suns fans that think they should go all in for Bosh. :)
