I don't know about saved. Can't see us beating any of the top 4 seeds with those guys. If by saved you mean making the playofss then sure. Really doesn't change all that much; just raises the floor of the team by adding depth, but these guys outside of Lance are just a stop gap. None of them should be here past 2016.

Look back a couple of pages and I proposed this exact deal numerous times.

You do this and then move Lopez to OKC for Perkins and insist on Reggie Jackson who is out of the rotation and Perry Jones.

Flip Perkins to Minny and BAM!!! WE are back in business and younger and athletic.

Dwill/Jackson/Jack
Bojan/Karasev/Brown
Lance/Henderson/Williams
Kg/Thad/Jefferson
Plumlee/Jordan

If we can get jackson back I tell Dwill to just play good soldier and try and get us into the playoffs. I send Anderson to which ever team wants him included in a deal.

This would be a complete overhaul and the team would need time to adjust to each other.

I am of the strong belief that Brown should be starting over Bojan and Karsev also, from what I've seen he isnt bad on defense, looks to pass and has a great looking shot.

Jackson or Jack
Brown
Lance
KG/Thad
Plumlee

Much more exciting and competitive team, Brown would be the shooter slasher, Lance point forward and Thad and KG the stretch 4. I think this is a playoff team in the east easily. Even if it implodes so what it will be exciting to watch!

the very idea that this joke of a franchise is beating anything worth a damn went out of the window in November.

the season will be saved by getting into the playoffs.

No matter what goes down, keeping Plumlee and Brown is imperative in my opinion. Blow everything else up for all I care. Everything!

This is coming from Joe Johnson's biggest supporter. If it means Joe must be moved, then so be it. He has had a fabulous NBA career. He's rich and possibly a HOF. He will be just fine. I wish he could go to a contender. He deserves that much. Especially for carrying the load of trash on his shoulders, we call the Nets this season.

I just hope discussions are fluid for the betterment of this franchise. It's time for a change. It' time to fuxin put a team out on the floor that can compete 82+ games and then some.

Nets canceled practice today I wonder if this had anything to do with it?

The team cant go on like this it breaks players spirits to not be competitive, my heart hurt watching KG hold his head in his hands.

I'm at the point where I even have a negative outlook towards us getting any sort of trade done. If the Lopez to OKC talks broke down because King is still delusional about having a team that at best will be swept out of the first round I don't know what other lame excuse he'll find to halt any other trade talks.

I love Joe Johnson probably more then anyone on this site but if Charlotte is willing to give up a 24 year old for a 33 year old we better swipe this. Here is a chance to recoup some of the long term value we lost on giving up all of our draft picks.

It would have been fun to see what a healthy Johnson could have done with Lance here. Lance playing the same role he did in Indy and allowing JJ to get open off ball more (playing the George role) would probably have worked.

But if it's going to take JJ to start getting this team to head in a different direction, then so be it.

Landing Lance, Henderson, and Williams for Joe would be the best bet right now. After this we need to aggressively look for a Lopez suitor. I would be VERY happy with either a Denver trade (McGee + Chandler/first rounder) or Oklahoma City (Perkins + Jackson + Lamb).

I'm pretty against trading Joe Johnson as it makes more sense to wait until next year when he is expiring and holds value.... that said, Lance/Hendo/Williams is great value and I make that deal in a split second.

Do that then send out Lopez and this teams is in great shape moving forward. we'd rid oursevles of 2/3 of the bad contracts, have KG/Mirza come off the books next year, and maybe salvage a playoff spot.

gott make the move now though

That other place is reporting the Lopez/Denver deal would most likely be McGee + young player and 1st round pick via CLE or OKC.

I luv JJ as a NET...

He was a beast in the playoffs last yr

But I still stand by that I didn't like his "calling the team out after a win" tantrum along with 2 months of poor performances to back his sh*t up....

I rather see lopez on the outs for Lance and keeping the lure of Lance n JJ together but **** it. **** it **** it **** it...
