Okafor is #1 and then its everyone else. If we don't get #1 I would love to trade down and get another asset. Not sold on Muiday after seeing more of him. Definite no to Towns.

You dont trade down in the draft. Stanley Johnson looks like he can be solid in the NBA.

Towns has skills but I don't thing he can guard Center's in the NBA. I think he would be a stretch PF.

My draft board. 1 Okafor, 2 Mudiay, 3 Towns or Johnson.

More I see of Mun-god and Oka-beast the more I think these are game changers, impact players , and I wish we'd get either one.. God make it happen !!

I think even though my dream is PG draft I'd go with Okafor, but either one I hope it happens..

I hope..

Not sold on Mudiay either. I like Myles Turner but I haven't seen enough of him too. I've watched enough Okafor to know he's the guy I definitely want.

I'd take whichever of the 3 rookies Jackson would consider building the team around. Melo has already proven he struggles to co-exist with young guys, so let's just make it perfectly clear to him that's he's now number 2. Otherwise he'll act all bitch again and insist they get traded

I guess people love Okafor b/c he's the most finished product? It's foolish to think a rookie will get us anywhere unless they're named
Kareem or Lebron.
Okafor is slow---he's dominating b/c of his size and strength---advantages he won't always be able to count on in the nba---especially in his first few years. I don't project him as being an elite defender, rim protector or rebounder. one out of those 3 would be nice for a franchise center. Plus, he doesn't play above the rim---is that too much to ask for a 1st round pick?
Duncan is one in a million.

I still choose Towns. Athletically, there's nothing he can't do on either side of the court. I project him as being better overall than Bynum---but not as dominant on the defensive end.
We trade Calderon and use the 32 million to try to build a team around Melo that can make it to the ECF---then let Towns take over in 2 or 3 years.

If we get

1ST PICK-Jahlil Okafor
2ND PICK-Karl Towns
3RD PICK-D'angelo Russell
4TH PICK-Emmanuel Mudiay
5TH PICK-Stanley Johnson

As of right now, Lil God is a lock at one for me. any other pick below that I'd be willing to trade, say minn gets **** over again, and they're set 4, I'd deal number 2 for Wiggins in a heartbeat. I'd consider moving the 1st for Wiggins and Lavine, if Minn is desperate for Okafor.

You mean like when he took Shump under his wing from day one? Or that he spoke very highly of THJ even after the incident? Who is this youngster that he demanded get traded?

ugh. i don't even want to think about it. I'd prefer some other team bites on another player so that one of those 5 falls to 6th.

Towns actually shows more promise defensively than Bynum, where as Bynum was much efficient and skilled as a post player. Not sure if Towns will get to that level anytime soon. Same goes for Bynum. Took him about 2-4 years to get it all together, like most rookies.

When I watch a highlight film of a pg I assume I will see some passing. None with him he might have had four assist in that real. I'd gladly take Russell over him.

i hear that. i'm not so concerned about the quantity of passes in a highlight reel. those are made to show off whatever the video editor wants. mudiay's most impressive abilities are his athleticism. but i did see some quality passes that a true PG makes.

he reminds me of westbrook.

russell looks like a solid player, but his game is so awkward and slow. i know folks are comparing him to james harden, which is fair in terms of stlye and pace. but i haven't seen that second-gear from russell. i am trying to see more. he looks more like brandon roy out there, which also would not be terrible.

i'm excited about all of the players mentioned in the top 5 at this point. in order: okafor, towns/mudiay coin toss, johnson, russell.

Why would minn trade Wiggins for the second pick? Maybe they like one of those top 3 prospects better than wiggins.

Why would they trade Lavine and wiggins for the first pick ? I don't know that they would, I said if they were desperate for an okafor perhaps they would.
