Finished with 12 blocks in 25 minutes off the bench. That has to be a record.

Wish we could have found him in the D-League

So much better than Seraphin.

It can be argued that he is better than Gortat and Nene. Neither of them could get a triple double like Whiteside did--the blocks are rim protection that relies on quickness.

Over his last 5 games Waiters is shooting 30%. He might be glued to the pine by playoff time.

Bulls are 1st team to beat the Warriors since the NBA Champion Spurs did it on November 11th. 19 straight home victory streak since then snapped tonight.

Rose had 11 turnovers by himself. Rest of his team had only 10.

Warriors couldn't make a 3 in the 2nd half and overtime.

I was just looking at some box scores today, and saw Memphis vs Dallas in which Memphis dismantled the Mavs by 19, without their best guard, Mike Conley. The Griz are STACKED with talent, I think they might be the most overlooked/underrated team in the NBA. I'm not a big Jeff Green fan, but he really adds alot to a team that was lacking in SF depth. They don't need him to score 20+ like Boston did, but we all now he can still light it up any given night, and he seems to be fitting in well to his lower usage roll. Meanwhile, they still have the best starting front court in the league, in Gasol and Randolf, and have one of the most underrated players out there in Mike Conley. I have no idea how they match up with GS, but this team is my favorite to win it all.

Was it more the Bulls defense or the Warriors missing open 3s?

I don't think i have ever seen a guy take 33 shots without a foul shot. Never seen a pg with only 1 assist and 11 turnovers.

Major props to Rose

Additionally, Thompson took 27 shots and had only 1 free throw. Only reason he got to the free throw line was because of a technical foul.

Bulls can afford to get away with Rose jacking up shots since Gasol and Noah are great passers. Bulls did get the win but Bogut wasn't playing which is pretty much what the Warriors championship hopes hinge on.

Warriors got their looks, they just clanked everything. Bulls did play better defense late.

I really like Memphis.

They're not a good matchup for Dallas because they will let Rondo shoot and Dirk's defensive rebounding has declined. You can't fix either if you're Carlisle.

Matchup with the Warriors is interesting because Memphis can adjust their lineup to play more up to tempo with the Warriors. Green can play PF, you can play Allen and Lee together who are good perimeter defenders, and Conley is no slouch himself on the defensive end.

They got more options now due to the trade. But Memphis' bread and butter is slowing the game down and throwing it down low. Even if Bogut is healthy, dealing with Gasol and Randolph is a load. And the Warriors have shown they will turn the ball over plenty of times especially when they can't play at their pace.

San Antonio does the same thing to the Warriors every time they play. Slow the game down significantly and have Curry/Thompson make decisions in the half court and the Spurs put Green and Leonard on them to make life hell for them.

On the main board there was a thread from earlier this year "who will be the first player to score 50", I was the only guy to pick Kyrie. He wasnt first but he was up there. I knew he would do it before the All Star break

Rose is 20/59 in his last 2 games.

Shooting just over 30% happens sometimes. I get that. But lacking the self-awareness to not shoot the damn ball every time down the court? That's inexcusable.

We all knew he was a scoring guard but the sheer chuck-ery has shocked me.

I'm reading the Post Game thread over on the Bulls board, it's highly entertaining.
I'd post some quotes but I'm on my phone.

Wayne Ellington scored 23 points and rookie Jordan Clarkson added 18 for the Lakers, who held off the Bulls for their first victory since Jan. 9.

I wonder why the Lakers didn't sign Will Bynum

Major props to Rose

Add to that - I'm not sure I've heard of a PG totaling 59 shots in 2 games. Even Iverson would blush at that. Maybe Rose needs another day off.

Maybe Rose lost a bet and is doing a "Swaggy P" impersonation against his will?

Maybe - if the bet involved his ability to consume cinnamon.

just checked out their board. They are definitely melting down. Very amusing. I hope we face them in the first round.
