Re: PC Board OT thread
I know these guys; some are admittedly idiots; some of them frustrate me because I see more there; some are giving it all they've got and if they lose, well, no problem. First year of the team, the two best players in the 9th grade class both playing varsity (though one played in 3 games with us this year, two of which we won); and neither of us JV coaches are good coaches yet, we have a ton to learn too.

Re: PC Board OT thread
After lots of procrastination on my part, I've finally put the blog together, so if for some reason you're interested in more of my musings, check it out:
https://rootingforgoliath.wordpress.com
It's going to be maintained by myself and PaulieWal. However, I've reached out to some of you about being part-time contributors and gotten some interest back and that's still on the table. And even if you're someone I haven't reached out to, you're still welcome to shoot me a PM and we can work something out if you think you've got an idea for a post.
Anyway, let me know what y'all think.

Sweet article, informs about the "how" of Korver's impact. Looking forward to Part 2!

Re: PC Board OT thread
Days before the Super Bowl and I have absolutely no idea who I'm rooting for. It's actually bothering me that I can't settle on a desired conclusion. My natural inclination is to root for Seattle, but being a Giants fan throws a bit of a curveball into things. A part of me thinks a patriots victory adds even more historical significance to the 2 sb wins the giants have over them in this era. But I still can't bring myself to a point where I'm actually rooting for them. It's just a weird feeling to enter this game as a fan without a clear cut desired outcome. Been struggling with it for a week

Well I'm decidedly not a football fan, but I have a mountain's worth of respect for what the Patriots have accomplished, especially in the sport that most discourages that type of sustained dominance. Think Belichek is a genius, and I respect the hell out of he and Brady. Sort of like Pop and Duncan to me. So I'll pull for the Pats if I do end up watching.
Plus after the whole deflategate scandal, seems like everyone is rooting hard against them and I like to pull for the underdog.

Seattle here.
Mix of hating NE, a dislike of Brady, deflategate, and kinda liking Seattle. Marshawn Lynch was my fantasy RB the last 2 seasons and I love the interviews he does, also like Russell Wilson and Carrol.

Re: PC Board OT thread
I'm glad that at least Cousins got into the All-Star game as a sub for Kobe (whose selection was obv a joke, one of those wtf fan-base results).
Would have been criminal for both Cousins and Lillard to not make the All-Star team. One could argue Cousins should be omitted due to missed games; but if you're going to take that stance, then Westbrook and/or Durant should miss out for the same reason (and Lillard would be the natural replacement for one of them). So there'd be no rhyme/reason or consistency in both Cousins and Lillard missing out.
In a vacuum, I can somewhat understand Lillard not getting in. It speaks to just how loaded the PG position is in the WC. With Curry, CP3, and Westbrook as the competition at your position.......
Still kinda harsh, he's having such an amazing year.
EDIT: Speaks to how loaded the WC is in general that in addition to Lillard, guys like Kawhi Leonard, Mike Conley, Tyson Chandler, and Dirk Nowitzki are ALL missing out, too.

Re: PC Board OT thread
^^ I honestly don't see how KD and RW made it. IMO only one of them should have made it and both Cousins/Lillard should have been in. Then again it's the all-star game and not that serious so....meh lol.
Also, to be very fair guys like Leonard, Chandler and even Dirk this year are not really all-stars so far. Conley has a good case for him but it's not an egregious omission.

Well it should be obvious who i am rooting for. But i love Marshawn and Sherman dont care for the rest of the team, staff or their bandwagon fans. I do respect what theyve done immensely and how theyve built this juggernaut
im hosting the superbowl party this year hopefully i get **** up for the right reasons and not another Pats loss

Isn't this the case for any team that has any success? This just comes with the territory, and I'm surprised it still bothers some.

3 shots. Give Lynch 3 shots at the end zone and live with the results. That's all they had to do.

Pete Carroll cost his team the championship with that play call. Lynch on your team and you don't run it in that situation???
Very entertaining game tho.

99% sure his offensive coordinator made that call and not him, he just took responsibility because thats what a good head coach does.
that said Pete has been at the helm for two historic championship meltdowns, this one and USC-Texas.

Re: PC Board OT thread
That calls on Bevelle and Wilson but Carroll shouldnt have put his faith in him. Too many ppl try to outsmart Bellichek and act cute but fail. I want Marshawn to leave he doesnt need the Hawks as much as they need him. It was kinda like Pop taking Timmy out of the game on that possession where Ray hit the 3. I love when coaches or athletes try to act cute and fail. Im glad Wilson failed like that dude is mad overrated. Malcolm Butler deserves a lot of credit
I was getting bad flashbacks when Kearse made that ritarded catch I was flipping out lol. Superbowl Champ and what a game!!!!!!! Brady top 3 alltime better than Montana
and hes not done yet!!!!!!
