I like him better than Nick Friedell already.

I'm guessing he is the replacement for Aggrey Sam.

Yeah Aggrey said he was moving out to LA during the offseason. not really sure what he's up to
Kris Bryant will go down as the greatest Chicago athlete after MJ

edit 7/30/21: okay maybe not, but it was a fun ride nonetheless

Is there something besides KC and Cowley? That's probably what I would want.

Well, peace on earth, and Goodwill to the Bulls beat. Let's see what he's about.

Cowley's probably the best beat writer covering the Bulls in the city. You might not like the way he delivers it, but, when you look at the track records at the end of the day, he's the one breaking news. The others report the news after it's safe or they've been given permission to.

That's how Cowley's always done it, even with the Sox. Eventually though, he's going to burn the wrong bridge.

Cowley is awesome. It's hilarious that he has to go by @suntimesbasketball on twitter. "hottie up" ladies.

Ideally, I'd like to have a beat writer who is a good mix of Cowley and KC - Not always towing the company line, holding in his sources, but also not always having diarrhea of the mouth and constantly dishing the dirt.

Has Cowley ever broken trade/free agency/draft news? I can't remember any of this. What I have seen is him just stirring the **** by using his "sources" to start controversial articles and generate clicks. Most of his tweets are just basic fan comments. How much does he extrapolate what he hears into catchy articles? A lot of what he says could easily be speculated on this board. Being a "free spirit" and cautious/skeptical about this team, the FO, and the staff does not make him a good beat reporter. At least Friedell tries to be fair in his basic fan analysis.

Nick Friedell also likes to tweet about his "asian spa" experiences. That was weird.

When does he start? He was still live tweeting on the Cavs Pistons game yesterday.

This. Cowley is an assclown, I've said it before and I'll keep saying it, he's the Skip Bayless of print media. Everything he writes or says is to generate clicks and controversy..and he's good at it.

I just read a puff piece by CSN's Jordan Ramirez on Rose V Curry that was akin to a 15 year old kid writing for a fan club. No exaggeration. I don't know who Ramirez is, nor the new guy. But I hope the new guy is a real news man like Moon Mullin. Ramirez is embarrassing if that is representative of his work. I don't remember reading Ramirez.

Can't wait to see some real piece on csn. I haven't visited their site since Aggrey left.
