In his prior stints in the NBA Williams averaged 8.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game in an average of 19.7 minutes per game. He started 10 of his 24 games for Golden State in 2009-10 and averaged 15.2 points and 4.6 rebounds in his 24 games.
The Spurs on Tuesday opted not to sign forward JaMychal Green to a second 10-day contract.
He's proven that he can score in the past but defense has always been an issue for him.
