This is going to be a painful few months of Thibs remaining tenure here. Even though Thibs is a better coach than what he's showed this year -- it's pretty obvious we've reached the end of the road. I just hope we get something decent for him (top 12 pick) and can land Hoiberg.

This is the most unlikeable team we've had in 6 years. Yes it sucked watching a team with no talent the last two years but it was so easy to root for them because they tried so hard. These losers are so uninspired, under prepared, and make so many bone-headed decisions -- some things got to give.

We either need a new coach or Jerry needs to fire Gar Forman so we can get some new players in here. Teague, Snell, and the Hinrich re-signing are huge black marks on his resume. Something has to give. We have to make a move because we can't go on sucking like this.
FIRE THE JOHN "THE SNAKE" PAXSON, FOR GARMAN, AND FRED HOIBERGER.

I keep reading stuff about trading Thibs. I'm pretty sure it doesn't work like that. The reason why Rivers was traded was because he wanted out but Boston wanted to keep him.

The Bulls can't fire Thibs and then trade him. I'm pretty sure the contracts are not set up like that. The situation is that the Bulls would likely fire Thibs, he would agree to a smaller buyout for the remainder of his deal and then he would be free to sign with anyone. That's what happened with Skiles and I highly doubt that it would be handled differently now.

That's really the kicker right there above.

You could *almost* forgive a very veteran team for not bringing it every night, after how hard they played the last few years.

But there is no excuse or forgiving the utter stupidity with which this team plays so often. That's not just Rose, or someone like Snell or Hinrich either, pretty much most of the squad.

I think Butler is about the only consistently high IQ player on the team this year.

And that's a disgrace considering how many experienced and accoladed players we have on this team. It also has to reflect on the coach to some degree.

You're right, it doesn't work like that. I don't think we'd fire him but I think we'd negotiate to move him to another team.

Well the media theory is that trading Thibs would allow the Bulls to get an asset and not have to pay him (even a buyout). The theory being that Thibs would be in demand enough that other teams would want to do that.

If it's known the Bulls are going to fire him, of course they have little leverage and it works 'as normal' as you said. Bulls have to want to keep him, again as you said, or at least bluff well.

Not very surprising but Woj was just on the Score and said the Thibs/Management relationship has been beyond repair "for years".

Nothing newsworthy in the interview but he was pretty much in agreement that there could be a mutual parting of ways if things go bad in the playoffs this year.

Starting to sound exactly like the way things went down in SF with Jim Harbaugh. It's actually almost scary when you think about the parallels between Harbaugh and Thibs and both front offices.
