They have been better on offense with him on the floor all season.

Defense is another story at the moment.

I was surprised at the Oladipo box score last night. Love that guy. Good to see he's emerging.

Tobes is another one of those Kevin Love type players. Some really elite skills. But he needs the absolute right system and guys around him.

I find myself not caring much about Tobias.

Nope. Nothing but good thoughts for him.

Whether his best use was somewhere other than Milwaukee is one discussion. The utter short-sighted missuse of a valuable asset is what got folks angry, and since some of the key players of that fiasco are still around, the distrust still lingers for many.

Sure misused but JJ isn't all that far off of a player when compared to Harris. He sucked for us, but he is a player that feeds off of team ball. When our team ball was as poor as it was the result was a terrible performance by JJ.

I am no JJ Redick fan, but he is doing pretty well with the Clippers.

Our biggest issue was that we brought him into a bad situation that he wanted out of and we didn't resign him. Maybe didn't even try. So we lost an asset for nothing. That is what I care most about, don't really think Harris is all that special of a player.

He's campaigning to get on the Knicks.

We made a terrible trade. On the other hand I'm glad we don't have this distraction or decision at the moment. (Waits for someone to wish Brandon Knight played in Long Island)

Magic blogger compares Magic with dumpster fire.

Not super enlightening but interesting that he didn't mention Tobias when talking about assets worth saving in the dumpster.

http://www.magicbasketballonline.com/20 ... ster-fire/

By the way, Tobias now comes off the bench. He was out five games with an ankle sprain but the intent appears to be having him as a bench player the rest of the way out.

He's a curious fellow. He's an extremely talented scorer but something hasn't clicked yet for him to move the needle beyond being maybe a 3rd or 4th best player on a team.

I'd be thrilled to get Tobias back. I still think he's going to be really good.

I like some of the talent on that team but I can't watch them because Vaughn is such a horrific coach.

*Old [12/27/'15] but entertaining clip. Boylan takes special offense at Tobias supposedly elbowing LeBron in the highlights above. Tobias doesn't even touch him. Simultaneously Tyron Lue is looking each guy over trying to figure out what's going on, while Larry Drew has a laugh over it. But that scowl from Boylan reserved for him there suggests there might've been something personal at play before/after Jim shipped him out for Redick.

First off, Boylan always looked like he had a scowl on his face. 9 years coaching with Scott Skiles and continually getting knocked out early in the playoffs will do that to a person. I don't think Boylan would have anything personal towards Tobias but I'd be very surprised if Tobias didn't. I'll be the first to admit a big part of me that wants Cleveland to fail is because of Drew and Boylan being there. Most of the great players now are flopping crybabies (LeBron, Kobe, Melo) but somehow don't see Tobias becoming like that.

Thankfully Skiles can reunite with Tobes now and straighten things out down there.

If Skiles gets hired Tobes is gonna walk.

Sounds like the Magic don't project him a future starter and it's doubtful they'd pay him as such.

No idea what he's going to end up getting.

Tobes can't walk. He's an RFA.

Plausible Skiles kicks Tobes ass to be a better all around player ala what Karl did with Big Dog.

Skiles is perfect for that Magic team for a year or two. Figure out who can step up and play D and be part of their long term core.

Or the alternative: Skiles buries Tobes on the bench and Orlando trades him, backup PG Luke Ridnour, and SG prospect Devyn Marble to the Bucks for an upcoming FA shooter Dudley, Mexican phenom Jorge Gutierrez, and third string PG Kendall Marshall to boost their push for the 8th seed from Charlotte which proves futile, in the ultimate karmic revenge.

After hitting peak Tobes rueing earlier this season, it seems we've now reached a trough.

Must have been that 29 point lead against the Magic last night towards the end of the 3rd quarter.

Tobias had only 7 pts coming off the bench on 2-12 shooting. Granted, the Bucks' defense took over last night's game and took the crowd out of the game early.
