I wouldn't trade the Morris bros for Al Jefferson. And come to think of it, I'm not sure if we matched salaries if any trade works where we don't take a major hit in some other category. Unless we traded PJ Tucker and Brandon Wright. But I feel like we need a solid wing defender. But that's probably the best trade for us however I highly doubt the Hornets do that deal.

Official Trade Thread: The Block Is Hot!!

Post#342 » by Jdiddy701 » Fri Jan 30, 2015 6:15 pm

Frye made history last night!!!

First player to go: 0-2FGs, 0 pts, 0 assts, 0 rebs, 0 steals, 0 blocks, 0 turnovers in 15 mins of play!!

I miss him dearly......... (Green font)

Still can't believe he's getting 8 mil for the next 4 years. Sucks to be Orlando.

Orlando had no business signing Frye. It made absolutely no sense then, and now they are paying for a big man that was a product of another system.
I do actually miss Frye. He was a solid veteran for us, but no doubt I wouldn't want the Suns to pay him that kind of money. 5mil at most. Sucks that Orlando is pretty much stuck with him for the next 3 years at least. I say 3 because the 4th year his contract will be an asset since it's expiring.

To the people who call Al a ball stopper, what do you think Kief is when he goes iso ball from out on the floor, this way it is iso and lay up instead of iso and jump shot. And for those who thought Len and Lopez could play together, why not Al and Len... Len is young enough and fast enough while being able to stick midrange also. Zeller and Wright off the bench.

His nickname should be "The Eel". Eel Jefferson works. They guy is so damn slippery in the low post.

I'd like us to get better defensively at PF not worse.

LOL people still think that McD regrets not resigning him lmaooooo!

Not resigning him is the best move the Suns made this summer.

Do people really think that Len-Jefferson or Len-BroLo frontcourt would work in Pheonix? SMFH

In the short run, sure. In the long run? We need to keep Kieff. The only PF's his age or younger better than him in this league are Davis, Ibaka, and Favors. He's somehow really underrated here, mostly because of D, which general fans are pretty bad at identifying short of the clearly amazing and clearly awful ones, and his rebounding, which advanced stats show isn't as bad as most think.

Monroe is also probably better, but I left him off because he gets similar scoring production, better rebounding, but is no better at D, and he has no ability to stretch the floor to the 3 point line, which Kieff has to some extent and is really important for Phx, so I see him as the better fit for Phx among the 2. Not to mention all these other guys will cost double what he does.

Mirotic was also: 0-2 FGs, 0 pts, 0 assts, 0 rebs, 0 blocks, 1 TO, 1 STL in 12 mins of play.

In that trade, we also got Zeller. I think he is a great long term option at Pf.

It wouldn't be an improvement in the short run either. Big Al is strictly a center. He can't defend power forwards and his transition offense AND defense is terrible. On a running team a plodding big like Jefferson is an anchor, not an upgrade. With Big Al clogging the lane there would be no space for Dragic and Bledsoe to drive to the hoop.

And the Suns are AWESOME with both Len and Markieff on the court.

Len/Markieff on court this year: 107.9 OffRtg, 96.8 DefRtg, +11.1 NetRtg
Len/Markieff on court in the last 21 games: 111.3 Off Rtg, 96.9 DefRtg, +14.4 NetRtg

To put this into perspective:
Best offense in the league this year (Clippers): 111.0 OffRtg
Best defense in the league this year (Warriors): 97.2 DefRtg

Markieff is better for the Suns than Big Al and IT is better than Zeller. The Suns lose big time in this trade.

I think it would make us a better team, Kief is at his peak already. Al gives us a go to guy now and Zeller has a higher potential than Kief in my opinion.

Can you for sure say someone at 25 is at their peak? Seems a bit premature to coin that statement.

Tastic, I like many of the ideas; however, the Mook Green for Anderson would be impossible salary wise. We don't have enough cap room to complete it.

Works in the trade checker...Mook's deal has that poison pill thing or something

I thought Anderson made just over $9 mil, the difference is under 25%, so it seems it would work.

either

When Vator speaks, listen.
On point.

So it sounds like either DMO or Jones could be on the block. Jones just came back from his nerve injury and Houston is seeing just how much "back" he is. Im expecting to see those two in a time-share so the FO can compare the two, while showing interested teams that they can play.

I don't know about keiffs offensive peak but I know he has peaked as a rebounder. Honestly that's one of the most important part of being a quality PF. He is never going to be a beast. So I'm all for using the AT&T next plan, I'm ready to trade up.
