And once they move Reggie Jackson for a lesser player before losing him for nothing, they'll pretty much have no bench. They really might not make the playoffs this year.

It's sortofa shame since I think they've got the top starting 5 in basketball. Weren't people raving about Perry Jones at the beginning of the season? I'm not surprised that didn't last.

Man Jarret Jack would be awesome for us as a backup combo guard.

Loving how Jarrett Jack and Brook Lopez are tearing up the Raps like they tore us.

He had 14 rebounds in the first 8 minutes, including 8 offensive rebounds. I assumed that there was some mistake with the stat keeper. It doesn't seem possible.

Two things:

1. I think the Hawks are so good that they'd probably even beat Kentucky.

2. Saw that Derrick Rose shot 6 for 27 against the Lakers. Yuck.

They kept playing it on NBA TV - he is going to have a nice payday this offseason.

Whiteside gathered those 24 rebounds (10 offensive!) in just 28 minutes.

At one point Spoelstra benched him and the Heat were leading 60-51, By the time Spoelstra reinserted Whiteside, the Heat trailed 60-72. They gave up 21 straight points with him inexplicably on the bench. Whiteside only had 3 fouls.

Spoelstra after the loss claimed Whiteside was fatigued, which the player said was not the case.

If Whiteside is smart, he will take the highest bid from a contending team (not Miami). Hopefully, he's a UFA.
The Wizards shoukd have drafted Derik Queen

I told you so :banghead:

Miami has a Team Option of over $900k for him next year. No chance they decline it.

Detroit beats Houston with Jennings out, DJ Augustine dropped 28 with 12 dimes. Having that kind of back-up can win you some games.

The Thunder lose again; this time with Westbrook and Durant both playing. Dion Waiters goes 3-14 with 1 assist and 4 turnovers in 30 minutes. The Thunder are 4 games out of 8th place with just 35 games to go in the season. OKC has lost 4 of their last 5 and now look like a longshot to make the playoffs.

In the last 6 games, Waiters is jacking up an average of 11 shots a game and shooting 29%. He's averaging just 1.4 assists in 27 minutes a game.

OKC gave up nothing to get Waiters and it still looks like they lost the trade.

Westbrook's chucking is starting to take a toll. This month he is taking 20 shots a game shooting 37.6%.

BOSTON (AP) Hassan Whiteside was hardly shocked when Miami coach Erik Spoelstra designed a play for him late in the third quarter of a tight game.

He was surprised when Spoelstra kept doing it, though.

Whiteside scored half of his 20 points during a dominant stretch spanning the third and fourth quarters and Miami Heat held off the Boston Celtics 83-73 on Sunday to snap a two-game slide.

"He drew up a play and I scored on it, he just kept drawing them up," said Whiteside, who went 10-for-17 from the field. "I really think he started believing I can make plays down there."

Smart coaching, Randy would have never done this.

I am extremely bitter that we didn't get Whitside

I didn't think this was possible. Atlanta is about to lose.

Jeff Green making plays for Memphis vs. Phoenix.

Conley misses the three, Green gets the rebound, game winning put back, AND 1.... and then at the other end blocks Markieff Morris' shot with Gasol and the game is over.

Too bad Phoenix lost - they're one of the teams fighting OKC for that 8th playoff spot. New Orleans is the other. All 3 of those teams would be a dominant team in the East.
