Tim Duncan has been named to the All-Star Game for the 15th time, the NBA announced on Thursday.

Duncan, 38, ties Kevin Garnett and Shaquille O’Neal for the fourth-most selections in league history. Only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (19), Kobe Bryant (17) and Julius Erving (16) have more All-Star appearances. It also marked the 36th time in 39 NBA seasons that the Spurs have had an All-Star, more individual years than any other team.

Duncan was named one of seven reserves for the Western Conference by the conference’s coaches, joining Houston’s James Harden, Golden State’s Klay Thompson, Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers, Portland’s LaMarcus Aldridge and Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook of Oklahoma City.

They join starters Stephen Curry of Golden State, Marc Gasol of Memphis, New Orleans’ Anthony Davis and Blake Griffin of the L.A. Clippers. Bryant was also voted a starter but will have to miss the game with a shoulder injury. NBA commissioner Adam Silver will select his replacement.

I'm the biggest fan of the All-Star game but i'm happy for Tim.

Credit to TDs longevity.
Really impressive considering the crop of good young bigs that he made it.
Don't really rate the all star game but still good to see that the coaches in the NBA still think of Timmy in that regard.

It's been a privilege to be a Spurs fan and to watch Timall these years. Glad he's getting recognition this year.

I'm glad he is acknowledged for his game but I would rather he didn't play in that worthless game......
