Ennis is a swing. There is almost no difference in today's NBA between a SG and a SF, except that SG's typically guard the smaller of the two on the opposing team, which if anything would benefit Ennis because he doesn't have the strength to handle most small forwards.

Ennis needs to become Danny Green

Or strive to be like that

Honestly, Ennis hasn't shown to be elite at anything except athleticism. Hope he figures it out soon or else he'll be done in the NBA when his contract is up. I'm rooting for him though.

Man....if the team keeps playing how they did tonight... there is no way Wade is gonna be able to be out 2-3 weeks and us stay afloat..

It's a tough situation because when he's in the lineup, Wade is still easily the best player on the team. He'd be the best player on most teams. And the notion of him accepting a reduced role won't work, because when you need someone to make plays during critical stages of games, you've got to go with the best option to make them. That's Wade, whether he makes them for himself or teammates. In the 4th quarter or other key stretches, when you need a score, the ball finds its way to Wade, not because the Heat are overburdening him, but because he's their best chance.

And this is going to happen just by virtue of him being on the court. It certainly seemed like the Heat started the year planning to ride Bosh. That was the media narrative, and Bosh ate it up too, but in the beginning, it also appeared that Miami intended Bosh to be the focal point. But, that was never gonna hold. Wade is just better, by light years.

With a LeBron James on the roster, you can move Wade off-ball. You'll greatly reduce his superstar quotient because he won't be in his comfort zone in terms of in-game rhythm, having his preferred offensive sets run, getting to his sweet spots on the floor etc. But, he could rely on his all-around game to manage to produce at 60 to 70 percent of his maximum capacity and with an LBJ, that was often enough. However, besides LeBron, there are few players to whom Wade should justifiably defer, and none of them will be available until 2016.

All that said, Wade simply can't sustain Wade-like play for long stretches anymore. His season performance is a macrocosm of his game performances over the last few years. Just as he can brilliant for a quarter or maybe a half but can't usually keep it going over an entire game anymore, he can now only do it for a month or two during a season.

So what is the answer? Panic caused the Heat to blow the bank on Bosh (if this is the best you're gonna get out of CB in year 1 of that 5 year, 120 M deal, enjoy paying him through 2019). Maybe Whiteside? Dwight Howard has no offensive skills, and he got to the Finals as a centerpiece. So maybe surround Hassan with three point-shooters and defenders, keep Wade partly out of loyalty and partly to see what he has left, and hold a fire sale on everything else, including Bosh, buying him out if necessary? Even with no meniscus or knee cartilage, Wade will always be able to facilitate, and building around Whiteside could extend his career.

with wade healthy there are couple of teams we can take out in round 1.. but unfortunately with him out our record is getting worse.

going 8th seed and facing the hawks is guaranteed elimination in round 1. sad.
we need to get to 6th imo.

Riley should've seen the writing on the wall.

I am not sure you are fully understanding who you have on your Roster.

The Heat have Wade, Bosh, Deng and Whiteside. That is more than enough to be a 2nd seed in the east.

The problem is that the team desperately needs wade as Bosh, Deng, and Whiteside are not ball handlers who requires someone to get them the ball is the right place at the right time.

Also Granger and Williams are great knock down shooters but when you ask the to create their own shots because your point guards can't run a offense it becomes a problem.

Damn come on Wade. He can't even play 10 minutes? I was looking forward to watching him play on Sunday.

I think it is a good decision, not play in All-Star Game, but he is almost back!

it's great to have him back! Just to have him around is very valuable for us.

As much as it sucks its the best thing to do

Relax for 9 days more or so, and make a huge push later

This is his third hammy injury, it's the smart thing to do.

I remember for the 2nd one he wasn't out long, maybe he rushed back too soon? This whole team really needs a long all star break..

I think the All star break will help everyone. Yesterday Bidman asked Jason Jackson what he was going to be doing over the break. The way he spoke about it, it sounded like he was anxiously waiting for it to come. Like how college kids talk about spring break.

Hopefully Wade is now currently at 100%. I hope we get back in to the 2nd half w/ a full, healthy unit. We have work to do.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade
