Big picture here, folks —

SVG turned down the MIA offer because he wouldn't absorb Granger's measly $2M cap hit for next year ... and I LOVE it! Because that screams to me that SVG has a long term plan for our franchise and he's not willing to deviate from it for a half-year rental of a back up PG so that we can chase the 8th playoff spot. He's not trading any draft picks (even 2nds), and he's not cutting into his cap space for this summer, period, end of discussion. That's real direction as opposed to reactionary management, and we haven't had that in a long damn time.

Norris Cole does nothing for us. Id rather play the rook dimwiddie, Cole would cost us something, the rook can do just as much as Cole.

Injuries happen, no way should be we sacrfice any type of asset for a backup PG unless its a dude who could potentially be a starter. (Reggie Jackson etc)

Pat Riley said he does not see anyone else in the D League he wants to sign. I think SVG see's this the same way anyone good has already been taken.That's why this has taken so long SVG is trying to trade for a vet.He keeps pushing the date back for a decision to be made now it's mon-tues.

The Timberwolves signed Lorenzo Brown to a 10 day contract on Jan. 28th, but Ricky Rubio is expected to return on Monday. waiting to see if the Timberwolves cut Brown,

At Minn He's shooting.333 and only avg 6pts a game in 3 games 30 min a game .I would pass on him nothing there.

I think SVG is trying to dump some bench players on any team that will trade with him.

I'd trade the picks for ty lawson and wilson chandler in heart beat

2 first round picks for ty rite now, i'd do it. a package of getting ty and chandler id do it. id offer 2-1st round picks, 2-2nd round picks, and keep jerebko and singler for the bench brigade.

denvers rebuilding. makes no sense to keep players entering their prime.

I disagree bc, wilson chandler and ty lawson are better than anyone in the 10-15 range. and we are not getting jimmy butler or kawhi leonard.

there isnt one player in the 10-15 range that would start over jennings, kcp, moose, or drummond. Only sf is replaceable. Not improving the roster comes at the cost of missing the playoffs and losing moose. How redundant is that. Just bc you wanted to keep the picks. What happens if we do nothing and miss playoffs and loose moose bc he is unhappy? In that case, we would have to offer max, and thats if he wants to come back.

It would be hard to give away two 1st rounders but I do see your point. The odds of any player we draft at around 15 being anywhere near Lawson caliber is not good. yea, i mean with jennings playing well we were a top team. how will jennings be after he comes back, who knows? denver looks vulnerable to be poached of there guys. they gave away mozgov so they must be interested at the right price and i value lawson highly. if jennings can tear it up in svg offense then lawson can be a monster. im just trying to get chandler as well. would love to grab both!

Not my 1st choice for pg. But the trade deadline is on the 19th and we signed a guy to the 1st of potentially two, TEN-Day Contracts. So we could have him under the two 10 days until two days after the deadline. I'm OK with this.

Also i'm thinking that to get Pablo, we had to give up a 2nd. Getting Norris Cole, NORRIS COLE, we had to take Granger.
