As a wise man once said, "You play to win the game"

They had a timeout left though. They could have drained the clock(like they did), and ran the ball. If they don't get in, they can drain the clock some more before calling a TO and then trying to pass if they have to.

But really, you can't worry about clock. At that point you score when you can score and you let your D win the game with less than 30 seconds left. The %s are still very high in your favor.

I don't get how you don't run the ball there. You got the best back in the league. If you lose trying to run it then so be it but you gotta give it to your horse and let him win it.

The reasons given for the pass call are just as stupid from Carroll and Bevell.

You run the ball period with a bruiser like Lynch.

And how about Belichick not calling a timeout with 50 seconds left? Pretty stupid even though it worked out amazingly for him.

We were saying that. If Lynch got in on 1st and goal that would have given the Pats a little over a minute.

You can call out Carroll or his offensive coordinator for the play call, but not enough people are mentioning Russell Wilson. He made a bad read and a bad pass.
