Pretty sure this means he'll be with the team for the rest of the season

Hill's body breaking down has always been a concern, it was the biggest argument against increasing his minutes the last few years.

The use of our cap space this year and next is hardly a big deal as long as Kobe's contract is still on the books.

Of course it is. We could have used that space to take on salary draft picks, signed a better player or take some chances with players with upside. Now we won't even get a 2nd round pick for him. Same thing happened with Pau. I wouldn't be surprised if the team picks up his option next season. Management has a hard time learning from their mistakes

I would think that too if he didn't have a no trade clause this year.

It's not all bad, after all we are on the easiest stretch of our schedule and Hill is arguably our best player not named Kobe.

Is there an NBA F league? We might be using up all the D league talent left soon with all these injuries.

This is a possible hidden blessing.

With Hill out, Sacre and Ed Davis will get more minutes, potentially increasing their value to a playoff contender who needs another big. Does Dallas have anything the Lakers want?

I'm getting sick n tired of players claiming they are injured just b4 the trade deadline.

- If you don't want to get traded then work hard and play ball like you actually want to be in your team < whether it's the lakers or not.
- I'm also tired of bitching million airs who want the money and don't work hard enough for it. Too many players being overpaid for what they do in this league and other sports/movies etc, just ridiculous ... Sorry just having a rant < been a long day at work.

I love Hill I just hate this type of attitude of players all of a sudden getting injured it's Pau 2.0 all over again.

Someone give me a million bucks to play and I'll bust my arse off every game

There my rants now over.

The injury actually is a blessing in disguise IMO. This gives more minutes to our young players and it helps us tank even more

If Hill doesn't want to be traded he won't be. He doesn't need an injury to do that for him.
