Sacramento Kings vs. Klay Thompson 2/3

Post#1 » by Wolfay » Wed Feb 4, 2015 2:48 am

We all know what happened the last time. Fingers crossed that he's got it all out of his system and will stink tonight.

Commissioner Silver is in town today checking out the arena progress and stuff, and will be at the game. Hopefully they give him (and us!) a good show.

Cousins is going to kill us if he doesn't stop forcing and pouting. A leader shouldn't be poisoning the well with his own toxic behavior.

Cousins 1-6 to continue the poor shooting and usual turnovers... Is he too far from the basket or worn down from this style? Other reasons? Hope he gets out of this

For goodness sake, good thing I'm not at this one with tickets behind the Kings bench. You might see a corndog bounce off of Corbins head. They were switching pick and rolls early and then now they are just doubling and leaving the pop guy wide open. WTF. This team seriously needs a consistent game plan with pick and rolls.

This thing went from exciting start, to the same unwatchable crap under Corbin in just a little stretch

So our starting backcourt is playing well, but the answer is to let Gay and Cousins (especially) pound it into double teams and force terrible shots?

Didn't see Pete or Vivek around anywhere, wonder what's up. Guess I wouldn't want to be there either if I were them. Karma says they deserve the boot kicking they've been getting but why do we have to suffer too? haha.

This is why in retrospect I questioned that Pacers win, as given our schedule we might have went on a long streak, embarrassing that FO

Bench gets outscored 61 to 15, but clearly that's not a problem.

Don't worry though. I have faith McCallum will save us.

Edit: I guess Stauskas' three at the end was rescinded. 61 to 12 :banghead:

Time for whoever created this mess to start taking ownership of it and do something about it.

There are little bursts of a team that cares. In the 3rd for instance, but if the management doesn't know what a team looks like when it's given up then Kings fans can certainly tell them because we've seen it at least 3-4 times over the last decade.

Lets face it. Majority of the team has mailed it in and want the season to end. The problem is we are in February and it's not until late April the season ends. That a good 3 months worth of basketball left. There is a good chance they don't get over 30 wins this season.

Heads will start to roll (looking at Pete and co) if this continues any longer. Or I hope that is the case.

What? No way this team has quit. Just look at this defense. We're all in, baby.

Not to repeat myself but the quarter and a half stretches for Cousins that have been popping up over the last stretch are just not sitting well. If Corbin and PDA are going to IMHO overplay the starters to save their jobs in a season that is not must win it I will have to point it out. Cousins at 42 minutes tonight, and that is because they had to take him out with ~4 because the game was out of hand

Well...Over several years I THOUGHT the Kings would do better than has been the case. look at GSW. They were an also ran for...a LONG time. They redid every aspect. They do DEFENSE with intensity. Kerr does an 11 man rotation. Every player is part of TEAM. I repeat..TEAM. Playing TEAM... lifts the efficiency of whatever talent. EVERYONE..really working on D..full time... really matters. There's reasons GSW and ATL jumped from "maybe a 4 seed....to top of the pile.
In the NBA the game evolves, changes and they got the jump on it. Sac...has TALENT.. but they need TEAM play.. more investment on D, build up the depth. Sac has the TALENT to battle for a playoff slot but a franchise has to do all the details, top to bottom. You can't get away with weak links. You MUST optimize ALL the assets.
CENSORED... No comment.
