Agreed, Hands -- we went through maybe the toughest part of our schedule and did quite well. Any Wizards fan should be very happy w/ the team's performance so far.

Now that Butler has cooled off our bench is really getting exposed. He bailed us out several times earlier in the season.

It had us up at 53 before we started playing poorly... I would think it would be low middle - I think we will squeak out 50.

We have been quite fortunate to have Temple and then Butler play lights out. Plus, the limited number of injuries.

We are going to need someone new to step up these last 30 or so games and we need the injury bug to stay away.

With 50 games in the books, at 31-19, the Wizards have a .620 winning percentage - on pace to win 51 games.

The guys at 46 and 47 are looking pretty good right now.

Happy news: the schedule gets easier from here. The scoring differential of the Wizards opponents to this point: -0.43 per game. The scoring differential of the teams left on their schedule (through last night's games): -1.03. That's about a 2-win difference in quality of opponent over the course of an 82-game schedule.

There's still a chance at hitting the 50 plateau. Have to go 17-8 the rest of the way. Coincedentally, 17 of those games are against teams that are either bottom feeders, reeling from injury, or more or less on the same level as the Wizards, and 8 of those games are against power teams.

With 60 games in the book... youuuuuurrrrrrr Washington Wizards have a 34 and 26 and a .567 winning percentage. On track for 46 wins and currently own the 5th seed in the east.

Would be hard to argue with that at this point unless something magical happens like Randy figures out the way they played the first half against DET is the offense they should run. But I'm not holding my breath since he couldn't even remember that from one half to another. Expecting him to do it from one game to another would be a stretch.

So yeah..46-47 is looking like the range after they lost to CHA twice, PHI and MIN ( on back to backs) and couldn't pull out one win over two games against TOR where they lost by a total of 6 pts. :nonono:

That's the 4-5 wins they needed to get to 50-51

46 wins and Randy is gone for sure. That's way under performing. If not for Randy 54-56 was in their range. That a 8-10 games swing based mostly on the coach. You can't have that.

I'm tired of running the projections and then trying a wag the Round Down for Randy (RDFR) factor. If you have to do that, you don't have a viable HC.

I said 42 and surprisingly with the way this team is going, they'll only win 8 more games if they're lucky

If they won every game the rest of the season they still wouldn't reach payitforward's prediction of 58 wins.

We're also getting really close to tanking season. Pretty soon, the teams that are out of contention are going to sit any ailing veterans and start playing rookies and 2nd year players for 36 minutes a night.

That said, our April schedule doesn't help us much. Of our last 12 games, 9 are against playoff teams or East teams competing for the playoffs. Only Philly (twice) and New York are sure wins.

That post was a few days ago, and the situation isn't as good as it looked then. Their schedule the rest of the way isn't easy. I think going .500 the rest of the way would be pretty good given who they're facing. Going 8-14 over their last 22 isn't out of the question.

If Nivek wins, does TheSecretWeapon get credit? This is a very important question.

I was the most pessimistic. 40 wins is still in play but they will probably beat that by a couple. 43 wins is looking good to me now.

They probably can't fall to 8th seed. The 8th seed in the EC will probably have around 34-35wins.
