Bulls fan's comment on Archie Goodwin
Even opposing team's fans realize that Goodwin is just being held out.
I would not be mad if we moved him to a team that will give him an opportunity and if we can get some asset in return. It's better than just him on our bench for years and then walking when he becomes a FA.

Alex Len + Archie Goodwin
That's interesting. I guarantee that they woudn't move Len AND Goodwin.. they rate both of them very highly, but maybe Goodwin and Plumlee?
They've said Goodwin is off-limits, but Taj is the exactly the sort of guy they need. As long as they're stacked at the guard positions, maybe that's a move they consider.
I know a lot of people think Goodwin is raw, but he's ready to be play, he's just being held out. The moment this guy gets an opportunity, stardom awaits.

Bad eggs smell.
I don't see what the hang up with Gibson is. He has legit size and skill, and a short commitment. He wont be the shot maker Keif is, but he wont hurt a line up either.
The only negative is see is may be we could get more.
Getting technicals hardly relates to being a bad citizen. The witch hunt will continue, though...
Getting involved in a High School altercation is another story though.
The T's won't help but I doubt that would be the sole reason we'd deal him.
I really don't think McD trades him unless we get a solid return. IMO, Gibson is very good, but I don't know that he'd be enough. Maybe in a bigger deal?

I would be. Why would anyone be happy to see him get minutes on another team and blow up. I would much rather he do that here.
I have confidence he'll get minutes eventually.
We hear these rumblings that Green, Plumlee, and the twins might be on the block. I would assume that McD is waiting to see if we look like legit playoff contenders. If not, he'll deal whomever and start giving the young guys chances.

Stand pat or trade for an all-star. These lateral moves aren't gonna help our long term future or even the short term. Gibson wouldn't improve our team if we were to trade the MoBros for em.

I wouldnt bet on him finishing top 25...
Elite big men and extreme/insane competitive wingmen (Kobe, Jordan etc) are what it takes to be top 30... Curry will or should be a top 100 player eventually and if he stays healthy though lol.
Lol get real. Should be top 100 eventually? He's already a top-5 in the league and will likely win an MVP(s) and championship(s).
His position has nothing to do with it.
Remember Gilbert Arenas was also meant to be a superstar, longetivity is a HUGE factor in finishing amongst the greats.
Curry is amazing, I agree with that, but to me, he will need to do this for a long time to be top 25...
Allen Iverson was GREAT for a decade, 26ppg 8apg 2.5spg, MVP, arguably started the "combo PG era", lead a team of defenders to the playoffs a lot of years and made the finals. Yet we dont ever mention him amongst the top 40 of all time....
Curry's legacy will be told in the playoffs...
AI the player is top-40. I've never seen a team butcher their superstar as bad as Philly did though. Hopefully the same thing doesn't happen to AD.
For the record I also think Nash is top-40 and Curry is/was far advanced at the same age. We will see.

BTW... this is not a witch hunt. The MoBros are, like practically 9-10 other guys on this team, completely expendable. They have good value, and could return us some nice assets. But no team likes court room drama in the locker room. Their behavior may has decreased their value while increasing the desire to move them. Thats a fact. Film at 11 or whenever their legal 'mishap' has been settled. You do acknowledge they haven't been just bagging Ts right?
TheMoBros don't need to weigh the same as a duck to trade them.

What ? Me Worry ?

People forget he was a really covet HS player that leave early to accomodate the new recruiting class by Calipari.
If he stayed in school, he would be a top5 choice by all means.

How about this trade?
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=p55r4pr
or
Pau/Snell
for
Green/Wright?
I'd do the 2nd. I'd also do the first to some degree...

I can't see McD being involved in a 3 teamer where the other teams gets the young star. He's been pretty set on going and getting a young star.

Re: Official Trade Thread: The Block Is Hot!!
I really don't think there is any real chance of Goodwin being traded. His only significant problem when he is on the court is perimeter shooting. The good news is he apparently shoots very well in practice, and I've also seen him shoot around before a game and he is definitely a better shooter than his in game attempts for the Suns would make you believe. This tells me that with some NBA experience he will find out how to get in a shooting rhythm and more importantly gain confidence shooting 3's in games. That is definitely his issue right now, and the cure is PT. He is a talented young player and I think he gets Green's minutes next year, and Green walks.
I think the Suns plan on Goodwin eventually turning into a very good starting SG in the future. He isn't going anywhere.
There is no way we get rid of Bledsoe, Goodwin, Len, Warren.

That's some serious spin. He left early because the writing was on the wall. Calipari made it clear that he did not like the way his current crop of players played the game and that he was going to bring in a brand new player at every position and none of the returning veterans were guaranteed starting spots. He was frequently and openly disgusted by Goodwin's inability to run an offense and take direction from the coaches.

I'm a big Dragic fan but I wonder if the Suns' front office would take a risk and let Dragic walk and we try to sign Jimmy Butler in the summer. He's a two way player and I'll spend 14 million a year to get him in a Suns' uniform.

Of course Calapari was disgusted... he threw Goodwin to the lions (became a full-time PG) because his project failed miserably (Horrow).
Join a below-average coach (Coach Cal) + serious injuries to key players + guys trying to learn a new position = recipe for disaster.

He's gonna get a max deal but I think Chicago will retain him. I wouldn't be surprised if they try dealing Rose first.

If he was available, would you guys consider a trade centered around Rose and Dragic?

I'm not a Calipari fan but calling him below average is beyond absurd. He has a higher winning percentage than Dean Smith, in fact it's 15th best all time. And don't say recruiting either because that's a part of being a college coach. There have been plenty of great recruiters that couldn't coach their way out of a paper bag but Cal isn't one of them. Calipari runs tight practices, every analyst and fellow coach that attends his workouts praises his leadership and teaching.
But even if you were to accept everything you just put in your post it still wouldn't support your earlier "spin". Goodwin simply did not leave Kentucky "to accommodate the new recruiting class".

No. Rose and Bledsoe would be a terrible pairing IMO. And I can't see Chicago making that deal without demanding a lot more than Goran either unless they've just completely tired of his injuries/antics. If that's the case it should throw up so many red flags that we wouldn't even answer the phone if they called. Rose at his best is worth pretty much our roster but I don't know if we'll ever see that Rose again. If we had a good deal on the table for Bledsoe also and we could basically swap Dragic for Rose, I'd rush to make that happen but I don't think that's feasible.

That's because Callpari tried turning him into a PG when he's a 2 guard with some play making skills like guys like Wade & DeRozan. He's not as good as then yet obviously but that's the type of player he will become.

Do you really think the Bulls would move D.Rose?
