:) :o :-? As long as he can bring the ball up , not turn it over and play defense , he should be able to fillin for BRob...
I just wonder if this is a sign we are getting ready to move Lance?

Either that or it could be a sign that we need another alternative to Lance when he decides to go full blown dumbass like he did in the second half of the last game.

But seriously, a look at his recent ten day stay with UTA is interesting.
He had one game vs. CLE where in 13 mins he was 3-3 from 3 with 3 assists.
The game was a blowout in favor of CLE, though. While he did play in the first half the deficit with him on the floor was never closer than 10.
If you look at the play by play he subbed in first for Hayward as backup SG, played some alongside either Exum and Burke, but also subbed in for those guys too. Clearly offers versatility of a combo guard.
He must not have been just what they needed though cuz they only kept him one 10 day.
Guys in the D League trying to get back to the NBA showcase themselves first. Will be interesting to see if he can come in and perform a role Clifford wants him to. I think that gonna be his challenge.

Looks like they went two 10 day contracts.

I do find it interesting that he's played almost exclusively at the 2. Guess you can't have too many of those guys.

I am not expecting to see him play. I think he is only here for emergencies or garbage time. If Hairston and Vonleh can't get in the games, I don't see that changing for Elliot. Neal and Lance will continue to run the 2nd unit.

I think he is a place holder we thought was worth a tryout. This way we keep a roster spot open through the trade dead line and get to workout someone who may fit after the dead line.

Steve Reed ‏@SteveReedAP 6m6 minutes ago

Elliot Williams says one of his strengths is his ability to defend point guards. Has good lateral quickness, long arms.

Wonder if this could be a play with Lance type of move. He could get some time on those nights when Neal is cold.

We've got four games in the next six days. If EWill isn't getting PT not sure how they'll decide whether to cut him or not. After that four game period we have the all star break. Seems like a very high chance he'll be around a lot longer than ten days.

His best asset from what I've seen. Can hit open shots at a good clip.

:D :D WELCOME TO THE NBA Hornets EWILL...I saw the interview and he has been around and knows the ropes..Film looks good on him. I hope he sticks because we definitely can use a big point/combo guard who can defend.

This move substantiates my previous post that a trade is coming. The Nets are involved and we are probably going to end up with Joe Johnson which honestly is a better fit at 2 with Kemba than Lance or Hendo. Hopefully it's a 3way with OKC getting Lopez and the Hornets getting Lamb,McGary,or Adams.

Al,Marvin,Hendo and /or Neal maybe involved to make the numbers work.

That all said...if Ewill gives us quality minutes he may survive to permanently take Pargo's spot on the roster.

It would not surprise me in this case if it was not with Hendo. They were on Duke together for a year.
