I'm a big Dragic fan but I wonder if the Suns' front office would take a risk and let Dragic walk and we try to sign Jimmy Butler in the summer. He's a two way player and I'll spend 14 million a year to get him in a Suns' uniform.

He's gonna get a max deal but I think Chicago will retain him. I wouldn't be surprised if they try dealing Rose first.

And if we are going to let Dragic go, or trade him (both scenarios entirely possible if the McD/Horny are looking to get younger everywhere and develop their own talent), then I would hope they would go after a position in which we don't already have a depth which is 4 bodies deep (PJ, Mook, Green, Warren). But, by all means, if we trade Mook and Green, then sure, bring in Butler. Does Butler play the 4 at all, or strictly the 3?

Ultimately, with the fact that everyone says the NBA's two deepest positions are PG and PF, how is it we can't get just ONE more decent PF onto the roster (I'm counting Wright as a primarily a C). I would expect that we should be able to find a team that is short on PG depth, but long on PF depth, that we could get some sort of deal done, right? There are plenty of young PFs that are 3rd on the depth chart, yet are talented--why can't we trade for one of those guys, like Payne or Vonleh?

People forget he was a really covet HS player that leave early to accomodate the new recruiting class by Calipari.If he stayed in school, he would be a top5 choice by all means.

That's some serious spin. He left early because the writing was on the wall. Calipari made it clear that he did not like the way his current crop of players played the game and that he was going to bring in a brand new player at every position and none of the returning veterans were guaranteed starting spots. He was frequently and openly disgusted by Goodwin's inability to run an offense and take direction from the coaches.

That's because Callpari tried turning him into a PG when he's a 2 guard with some play making skills like guys like Wade & DeRozan. He's not as good as then yet obviously but that's the type of player he will become.

I could be mistaken here but I'm pretty sure Goodwin always considered himself a point guard (and insisted on being used that way during the recruiting process). I don't know what he's going to be in the NBA. He's a lot like Bledsoe used to be in many ways. And there was a point in Eric's career that I really doubted he'd ever be a starting caliber player - now I consider him a star in the making.

I don't know if Archie is still ignoring advice from coaches but if he is, his future isn't very bright. He has so much more to learn. He could overwhelm players at lower levels because he's such an incredible athlete but there's more to the NBA game than just athleticism. Regardless though, I can't see us giving up on him anytime soon or using him as trade filler. He could be a force in this game if it ever comes together for him.

BTW... this is not a witch hunt. The MoBros are, like practically 9-10 other guys on this team, completely expendable. They have good value, and could return us some nice assets. But no team likes court room drama in the locker room. Their behavior may has decreased their value while increasing the desire to move them. Thats a fact. Film at 11 or whenever their legal 'mishap' has been settled. You do acknowledge they haven't been just bagging Ts right?

TheMoBros don't need to weigh the same as a duck to trade them.

Very similar to Carmelo size and offense wise. Very strong, very good build and size for a SF. Good shooter that can create off the dribble and create his own shot. Can be a go to scorer, and he keeps getting better every year. He DESTROYED PJ Tucker earlier this year IIRC. He's also good defender and a better rebounder than Markieff Morris.

I have no doubt that he will be an All Star in the future.

Pretty much this. He will be a FA in the offseason, and it will cost a pretty penny to keep him locked up. There also was the issue of him talking to the media gushing about how he would love to play for his hometown Knicks and help them become a contender. His agent later backtracked saying he was taken out of context, but many in the league believe he was very truthful and wants to be a Knick. Also, he is Channing Frye's Cousin.

For the Suns, I'd offer.
- Morris twins for him, I'd even add Tucker or Green.

Harris will breakout as a go-to-guy... 20ppg/8rpg type player.

Do you really think the Bulls would move D.Rose?

I believe if they do not have a good showing in the playoffs this year and Butler continues to improve, I do believe in the next year or so he could be gone. Possibly even as soon as this summer

He can gain muscle easily if he's asked to do it.

I think the Bulls would be borderline desperate to move Rose. He's still owed 20+ mil a year and it's only a matter of time before another significant injury. He's immovable IMO.

Muscle weight and fat weight is different... Tobias looks solid as... muscular... Warren has no definition.

I like Payne and Vonleh, but these guys are extremely raw and wouldn't be able to contribute effectively for 2-3 years. Maybe a bit sooner for Payne but with limited upside....a bit longer with Vonleh with more upside. Of course I'd still probably make the trade. I know IT helps us more now but if it solidified chances of Dragic re-signing and gave us one of those guys for down the road, it would work for me.

I'd be estastic if we got Harris. I don't think people realize how good a scorer/rebounder he can be.

Size & athleticism wise, he has an advantage on most PFs. Also a good rebounder.

Most importantly....all this and he's barely 22.

I remember kind of hoping we drafted him. Back when Hollinger did his draft ratings, he popped out as someone really highly rated as a guy that would transition well to the NBA, yet he wasn't real popular on other draft boards. Hollinger had really good insider stuff. Wish he was still there.
