Yup, I was thinking the same thing. I just hope Karl isn't using us to force the King's hand. Wouldn't be the first time we've been used for leverage.

Yep, i knew this would happen. Karl wants to coach and will try to use one against the other. They are probably still his preference since he has said that he prefers the west and they have a star already, but we need to get in now and let him know our interest. We have to at least try.
Woj is the new Bucher. Shams is the new Woj. Espn is the new TMZ. The NBA is the new WWE.

You all know how the Magic work.... Fans always get high on a player or coach that we want, so the Magic always choose the opposite. I'm thinking Brian Hill comes back :-)

Anez going on about Billy Donovan coming this summer. Ugh. Now I feel Karl goes to the Kings because we are too slow.

Anez is drunk. Donovan is not coming to the Magic, or the NBA.

Didn't Henny/Martin say they wanted a coach with experience in the NBA. That would automatically DQ Donovan.

They got what they're looking for in Karl, we will see how that goes. Right now they've got the youngest coach in the NBA.

I'd want him, but I feel like Martins and Hennigan don't think he's "buzzwordy" enough. Is he going to bring sustainability and a culture to our team? TIME WILL TELL!

Wouldn't be mad if we got him. Wouldn't be mad if we went with someone else either though. *shrug*

Didn't Donovan just sign a lengthy deal with Florida last year? Unless I missed something, he can't come here so soon even if we wanted him again (ridiculous).

Karl has a young daughter... maybe he's interested in moving her to a family-friendly city like Orlando.

Great thread Mellow, and solid write up. I appreciate the effort.

Karl would be solid. What that write up says about his approach to defense concerns me, though. letting the bigs decide and communicate how they want to play a screen. isn't that our complete downfall right now as it is??

They were saying he was available in April but he is signed through the end of 2016.
