Cousins doesn't look happy with the situation in Sacramento:

He just got named to the All Star team, Sacramento isn't missing out on riding that wave of exposure. But obviously yes, it's a solid offer.

It's a no brainer for the Wiz, but Sac says no. A starting lineup with wall and cousins would only need shooters for spacing to be great.

I'm holding out hope that Cousins will eventually force a trade tired of the direction the team has taken following the bizarre firing of Malone.

Anyone who says that Cousins isn't a reason the Kings stink is in denial:

Exactly. Regardless of his numbers, he seems to have quit on his team. Is that the kind of guy we want?

Every team goes through tough stretches, so what happens when things get tough here? Can we count on him to be part of the solution, or will he just quit and get his own stats until things get better?

Eh, I can forgive one brain fart - especially when he's on a team that appears to have terrible management.

I don't watch Cousins enough to have a strong opinion one way or the other. He does have a checkered history of behavior issues.

However he leads all centers in RPM.

I can't believe Hassan Whiteside's numbers, he most be the most dominant Center in the NBA currently.

Lebron has a right wrist injury that he is trying to play through. watching the Cavs highlights and he was clearly in pain when he got knocked to the ground. That could be a nagging injury that gets worse if he takes a tough fall.

Yup. This is one of the craziest things I've ever seen. He does it every night. Not since Ben Wallace have we seen a "walk on" big man step in and dominate like this. And it took Ben a year or two to really hit his stride.

If the Wizards had Whiteside they would be legit contenders.

Jordan Clarkson is doing just fine, he would have made a nice 3rd guard and Wall back-up for us

Watched the 2nd half of the GSW vs. Hawks game lat night. Basketball ecstasy! Wow! While watching the super bowl this year, a recurring thought I had was the Redskins have along way to go, but after watching the Dubs & Hawks, I think it's actually the Wizards who have a steeper climb to get to the apex than the Redskins. Both of those teams are young, athletic, fast, energetic, & every player on both rosters besides Bogut can shoot very well. Not just that, but most importantly, they are so well coached, it's like watching a team coached by Zorn vs a team coached by Belichick.

A total of 60 3-point attempts were shot that game. We've had exactly one game this year with at least 30 3PA's (an overtime game against OKC). We've only had one non-overtime game with more than 24 3PA's.

Here is Atlanta's shot chart for the 3rd quarter:

And for the 4th quarter:

Here is Golden State's shot chart in the 3rd quarter:

And in the 4th:

Remarkable. A grand total of 9 long 2's were attempted by both teams combined in the entire 2nd half.

Wizards did outscore Atlanta 28-18 in that quarter though.

Although maybe it could have been even more with better shot selection.

Sorry I missed the Hawks vs Warriors. Arguably, the two best teams. Fascinating box score from the game.

http://www.nba.com/#$/index.html

What immediately stands out is GS went only 10-15 free throws but Atlanta was 33-37! Teague had 11 FTs. As many as Thompson and Curry combined. Millsap attempted 12 FTs. The rest of GS only shot 1-4 FTs.

The other amazing stat for Atlanta was 15-27 threes! 55% but more impressive .825 eFg! Korver was 5-9 from three but the real killers were the ATL bench. Bazemore, Schroeder, and Scott went 7-7 from three! The starters were a good 8-20 but the bench was lethal.

To me GS did amazing to just lose by 8. They owned the rebounding edge, 51-38, with Green grabbing 20. He had 6 assists.

One key to why both teams are better than the Wizards is the number of people who had 6 or more assists. They have a bunch of players who make shots but also the ball doesn't stick in one player's hand. Horford had 6 assists. Schroeder had 7.
