Would you guys do IT/Tucker/Warren/Suns 1st for Harris/Frye?
Bledsoe/Dragic/Harris/Kieff/Len
Ennis/Green/Marcus/Frye/Wright

I think I would. I know a lot of you guys dislike Frye, but at least he knows his role. He would bring some stability to our bench, and might provide that veteran leadership. With Harris at SF, I don't think we need an upgrade at PF as he could provide some help with rebounding. Plus I know nobody respects Tucker's shot because he has that terrible shotput inconsistent jumper. Well that defender would no longer be able to play loosely as Harris can hit the three with consistency.
I also see this trade as being easier for the Magic to do as they get rid of Frye... and we know how to use Frye more effectively.

This is my proposal for constructing our roster to make a stretch run:

Make this trade-
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=moct4m5

Suns get:
Tobias Harris and Ben Gordon

Orlando gets:
Isaiah Thomas
Reggie Bullock
Miles Plumlee

Suns Rotation becomes:
Bledsoe/Gordon/Goodwin/Ennis
Dragic/Green/Zoran
Harris/Tucker/Marcus/Warren
Keef/
Len/Wright

Now, obviously the glaring need is a backup big man, because no one wants to see Marcus Morris playing the 4. So I propose that if Amare accepts his buyout, we make him a decent offer to be our backup 4 man. He's definitely not what he once was, but his numbers are very solid for a backup 4, playing around 20 minutes a night. Obviously, this overloads us at SF as well, so we might look for another deal to unload PJ Tucker, maybe for a developmental big man.

Bledsoe/Gordon/Goodwin/Ennis
Dragic/Green/Zoran
Harris/Tucker/Marcus/Warren
Keef/Stoudemire
Len/Wright

That's a pretty scary 10 man rotation (assuming Marcus Morris gets playing time over Gordon). It's got shooting, a lot of guys who can attack the paint, versatile bigs who can create tough matchups, guys who can run pick and roll or pick and pop, and decent defense and rebounding. Not to mention a team that would be immensely fun to watch. I don't think this is necessarily a likely scenario, but definitely one I'd like to see happen.

No. Suns are giving up too much. Suns didn't want to pay Frye that much in July, you think they do now? I'm also not convinced the Magic want to take on PJ's salary, sure it's better than Frye's, but it's still not the best thing for a team that's probably trying to bottom out. If you made a deal of IT/Bullock or Warren/Plumlee for Harris/Ben Gordon, I think that makes better sense for both teams.

No, that offer is too much.

Yeah, i posted about it a day ago. Ish slipped up and tweeted a goodbye to his OKC teammates and talked about joining the Lakers. I guess he jumped the gun, as he couldnt be traded until today, due to the date he signed his contract with OKC. Didnt know who it was for, but many speculated he was just a small part of a much larger deal.

Looking at the trade machine, OKC has to add another player as Swaggy P makes $5M, while Ish is at $800K.

Yea I saw that. I had never heard who it'd be for until now. I kinda hope LAL stands pat. I just don't want them getting Okafor.

Clearly dragic is not coming back.

I'm in this boat as well.

I went from being completeky confident that Goran stays to completely confident that no chance he stays in the matter of 5 months lol.

And can anyone blame him if? If I had just made an all-nba team and they move ME out of position to accommodate the newly aquired third PG on the team, and promote last season's second ballhandler/SG (in which set up the team was very successful) to THE guy, I'd leave too. Thanks for the middle finger, I'm out!

I have a feeling San Antonio will somehow end up with Gasol and Dragic this off-season. The perfect transition replacements for Ginobili and Duncan. It just makes too much sense.

Absolutely, it's completely understandable if he leaves, I think anyone in his position would.

Yup. I would die. That's worst than Nash going to the Lakers.

Spurs won't spend 35 mil on 2 players. Gasol has a good thing in Memphis.

I think you guys are on the right track in your wish to get Tobias Harris.

Maybe it is time to create our wish list going forward.

Mine would look like this to start.

1. Kawhi Leonard - He is by far my Number 1 target. He is not an unrestricted free agent until summer of 2016 and could sign and extension this summer with the Spurs but why? They could be horrible in the not to distant future. Having Len, Leonard and Bledsoe on the court together could be amazing. I would be in conversation with his agent if were McDonough, right now.
2. Jimmy Butler - Just a great fit for us - if the Bulls cannot afford him, why not us - I love the guy
3. Tobias Harris - really don't know his game well but he plays a position of need - my only concern is the defensive end - defense is needed from the three. I would rather have a stud at the three than the 1.

My keepers on the Suns would be

Len
Morris Twins
Bledsoe

I am open to trading everyone else. If we don't trade Dragic and Green by the deadline, we will lose both for nothing this summer.

I would be real concerned if we give Brandon Wright too much money in the off season. He certainly helps us on the defensive end but on the offensive end, other than dunks, he looks like an Octopus flailing around in the shower. I can see why he has not found a home. At the present time he is a good option. I am not sure I want him for the duration.

My real hope for this season was to watch an emerging Goodwin with a jump shot. He can't even make a jump shot in the D-league, disappointing. I have always envisioned a Bledsoe/ Goodwin back court. If Archie does not learn how to shoot, it will never happen.

I have been, along with many others, critical of Hornacek. While I don't like the style we play he probably has got about as much as possible from this roster.

Good list there Puff.
My dream list...
Jimmy Butler -Bulls aren't going to let him go, there's just no way. Rose is inconsistent. Butler is slowly becoming the face of the franchise. Or at least a cornerstone.

Gordon Hayward -Would love for the Suns to acquire him somehow without giving up Bled/Len. That trio would be phenomenal to build around. Dragic/Warren/Plumlee/Goodwin Suns 1st for Hayward. Is that too much?

Tobias Harris -Whatever reason the Magic don't want him. I'll happily take em. If we can trade IT and some change for him, I'll do it. I'll even take on Frye's contract if we can throw in PJ Tucker because we are set for our big man rotation for years to come. I feel like we can match up well against any playoff team with this tall roster. This trade would also make Dragic happy, and he might actually stay because 1.) We got rid of IT. 2.) We got his wingman back in Frye.

If Goran Dragic signs a deal with the Spurs/Popovich...even at a discount price (should do), it would be a brilliant career move by the Dragon. Plug the Dragon into the Spurs ethos? A star would be born. All you doubters, "what's the fuss about Gogi" people would be bitching for years (how could the Suns?) as he helps keeps the Spurs regime in power another 6 or 8 years.

There's a (small, deviant) part of me that would like to see this happen, because I think Goran is a great basketball player that has yet to get into a great basketball situation. Half-assed teams...He's been stifled in degrees. When he does get a good set-up (hopefully with the Suns), his true chit will be revealed.

Dragic with Pop? Good stuff.

If Dragic went to the Spurs, I'd quit watching basketball for good.

After the beautiful beatdown they did to the Heat last year...team basketball at the highest precision, and then them pulling in an "unlikely" Dragic free agent? Wow...I'm watching. Bummed, but I'm watching.

Sign Goran.

Spectacular, unspectacular...needed.

Is there any reason that Orlando wants to move Harris? Im suspicious if he's so good why they are giving up on him.

He's gonna be a RFA and they don't want to pay someone big money while their still so early in the rebuilding stage.

Plus he was struggling to fit with Oladipo under their old system with Vaughn so we'll see how he does. Had a decent game yesterday against the Lakers.

Exactly. Also add in the fact that they still have Harkless on his rookie contract, and Aaron Gordon as well.

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I don't think enough people quite realize the upgrade Harris would provide over Tucker.

It would be like swapping your Ford Focus for a Porsche 911.

Maybe the Porsche owner wants to get that Lambo but that doesn't mean that you, as a Ford Focus driver, shouldnt try to upgrade to that Porsche asap.

Return to Phoenix Suns
