If the Suns look like they'll fail at the playoff push before the deadline do we think they might pull the trigger on a Dragic deal? Deveney does:
While there has been nothing serious in terms of deals that have been close, as the Suns' hold on a playoff spot in the West slips away, there is a sense that they'll pull the trigger on something that can bring in the kind of perimeter-shooting big man they lost when Channing Frye left in free agency. Gerald Green (a free agent) is a trade possibility, but Dragic (also a free agent) would net a better return.
I don't know if the Bucks could / would make a play for Dragic since he could leave as an unrestricted free agent but either way maybe we'd be involved in a 3-way deal. Could see them wanting to bring back Dudley in particular.
Also, if Sanders doesn't seem like he'll ever make it work here again, do we make a play for Hibbert?
To no one's surprise, Hibbert has been decidedly inconsistent, but has begun to bring his numbers around (11 points, 7 rebounds, 46 percent shooting) and has bounced back from last season's debacle.
Hibbert has been quietly shopped going back to last summer, but he has a $15.5 million option on his contract next season that makes him a tough sell.
Woelfel said we tried to get Hibbert as of last Summer for what that's worth. Wonder what it'd take to get him.
