Yeah, I don't get the hype for Afflalo? It would be a good addition, but not if you are having to give up any of your top 7-8 guys to get him. Imo, it would be a lateral move at best.

Sorry but Afflalo is overrated. Is he worth a first round pick? Yes but he plays SG and we need a SF. I'm not convinced that
Jimmy could thrive at SF like he does at scoring guard. I guess it cant hurt but It could cause more chemistry problems.

Since he is going to be an unrestricted free agent, leave whomever gets him in atrade and likely make 10M plus next year with the ridiculous amount of capspace available, a first round pick for a few month rental seems almost a little steep.

I only want a Afflalo to have a PER higher than 12 if i am giving up a 1st round pick for him.

I'm pretty sure you could get Afflalo or Chandler for MDJ, Snell and Bairstow with a 1st.

The new Courtney Lee. Isn't obvious he's not what everyone thinks or wants him to be. He's way overated on this board. We need to keep Bulter as a SG. He's not a very good SF.

You can't. They have too many players on the roster. They either need to send more players back to the Bulls or waive players before hand.

We've gone over this ten times, Dunleavy / Snell / Nazr & a 1st for Afflalo and Alonzo Gee.

Nobody is saying Afflalo is a superstar, but he is a very nice complimentary player who plays both ends of the floor, is a very good shooter and can handle 35+ MPG, thus allowing Thibs to minimize Hinrich's role to 12mpg as a pure backup.

PG - Rose - Brooks - Moore
SG - Afflalo - Hinrich - Gee
SF - Butler - McDermott - Gee
PF - Noah - Mirotic - Bairstow
C - Gasol - Gibson - Bairstow

We have a guaranteed 8 man rotation, and the 9th man comes with whoever is playing better in Doug, Gee, Mirotic.....very simple and the addition of Afflalo improves the Bulls on both ends of the floor. If the Bulls aren't willing to give up a 1st, god bless Gar Forman. He can't even get Thibs to play a lottery pick, and he thinks a mid to late 20's pick is going to move the needle.....make a move, this team desperately needs the spark & upgrade.

They could cut bairstow and Snell can go to the 76ers. Its not a deal breaker.

Very simple, Butler is playing like an average SG over the last month, and the Bulls are underachieving this year. I'm into this to improve the Bulls roster, I'm not worried about Butler as a SG or SF. Great player perform no matter what - plain and simple.

Yes it would be horrible with Hinrich Afflalo on the court together - with combined PER of 18.

Also funny that we gave up a 1st round pick to the Wizards to get RID of a low PER player (Hinrich).

LeBron James, Demarre Carroll and Paul Pierce will be guarding Jimmy Butler in the playoffs, regardless if he's playing SG or SF - so it doesn't even matter what position he's listed at. Afflalo is the best player we're going to get with the assets we have.
