Re: The Andrew Wiggins Thread
Flip should really give Wiggins more rest. Long-term is the goal, not this lost season.
I think we can all survive seeing Budinger get 5 more mpg for a couple games until Muhammad returns - or even better give GRIII a couple minutes.

Agreed. And it's probably just one more game. Shabazz will likely be back tomorrow. With Martin and Bazz back, there is no reason whatsoever to play Wiggins 40 minutes per game.

I would've thought that before today too, but I looked it up earlier and nope:
Wolves are 6 - 5 in games where Chase Budinger plays 0 to 3 minutes.
4 wins and 35 losses in games where he plays more than that.
yes I know its a catered stat, but I still thought it was funny

So keeping Bud but never letting him see the court sounds like the plan for the future if we want to make the play offs..

Re: The Andrew Wiggins Thread
I want to see Wiggins get better at handling. Like a lot better. That's what he should work on in the offseason tbh. That and shooting. He's already pretty good at shooting, but if he becomes an elite 3pt option he could do serious damage, with or without Martin on the court. Handles and the 3pt shot. Then he can work on footwork and bulking up (probably the following offseason).

His footwork and shooting are above average for someone his age already. He can fine tune those later on. But I agree, working on his handle should be his top priority. Bulking up should be high on his list, too, but it's not that necessary because he seems to be rather strong for someone who looks so skinny.

Very true, but he's still a long way from being Kobe footwork and shooting, and ideally we want him somewhere in that ballpark so he doesn't end up like TMac

Re: The Andrew Wiggins Thread
I think TWolves needs to trade either Thaddus Young or Kevin Martin (would be great if you can trade both, Those 2 players are what I call "Black Hole" in a motion offense this team is capable of running. Wiggins is the future , why those 2 is taking 50 percent of the shot every single game.
Rubio
Wiggins
Shabazz
FA
Okafor
This should be the starting lineup for next year. Get rid of Pekovic, Martin and Thaddus Young.

LOL, that's a terrible idea. As has been proven the past few games.

Why? So we might win a few more meaningless games that screws up your lotto chances while limiting Wiggins' touches and leaves no minutes for new trade object Payne? I wouldn't trade Pek, but I'd love to trade Martin and Young all things considered.

I think Wiggins is getting tired. He's only 19. Did I hear that he's played the most minutes in the NBA since Jan. 1? Not sure. Think I did. That's gotta wear on the body. He's skinny, too. And he takes a beating every night. He's taken some tough shots even from the earliest games of the year.

Martin and Young could help us win games next year, that's something that should at least be considered. With a few smart moves this offseason, maybe we're on the playoff fringes next year. If we trade all our vets for 19 year old rookies, we're probably back down in the 20-25 win area.

Wiggins said that being in Minny is the best situation for him; in CLE he would be a role player and in Minny he is forced to grow up and shine and do what he was brought in this league to do
