i hope its something like ish, reggie, perk for ed davis, wesley, filler.

We get a decent big that could run the floor and provide size and a good backup for the 2/3 spot.

That would be a terrible trade.

terrible how? We get the pieces we need to solidify the team. Only thing missing would be a good point guard which we could get from trading lamb or jones.

We trade Reggie for two and a half months of Davis, it completely defeats the purpose of trading him.

How about Jeremy Lin, Ed Davis, Wesley Johnson and the Houston 1st for Perkins, Jackson, and Lamb?
Lakers get their starting point and a young guard and the Thunder get the backup guard to replace Jackson, a good backup big, a backup for the 3, and a 1st round pick?

Honestly, if you guys like reggie that much, I'd wait until the end of the year and sign and trade Reggie for Ed Davis (assuming he'll agree), but I'm a big fan of Davis. I always thought he could be a really good player and just never got a chance.

The trade you're proposing would be an all-in move for this season and leave us in a real bind after the year, we'd need to replace 3 roster spots with only the MLE and a 25ish pick. We'd have bird Rights on Lin, but I don't know his feelings about coming off the bench, and chances are he'll be in the same price range as Reggie. Without a long term contract for any player we're defeating the purpose of trading Reggie, so the two teams make poor trade partners even though the talent matches.

Honestly, I know its unrealistic, but I'd rather try to flip Waiters and dump him somewhere, try to keep Reggie around.

I absolutely agree, I just wish Presti and Brooks did too. I'd rather cut our losses altogether and trade him for a second rounder if we have to, it's just not going to happen.

I dont know why people want to take some silly risk of keeping Reggie, while giving up assets to attempt to do something we know wont happen.
He. wants. a. starting. position. and. full. time. minutes.
He. wont. get. that. on. the. Thunder. unless. Westbrook. is. gone.

And personally, IMO, i think many of our issues this season have come from Reggie constantly feeling the need to air out his BS with the media. Perk, Kd, Westbrook, they dont seem like the type of people who appreciate that type of attention, and personally i like think we are an organization above that nonsense. And simply based on these things, id rather not have him on the team anymore.

That being said.
Take Reggie, give us Boozer and Young. Young can play point, hes getting better at being off the ball and he can score a lot of points very quickly. I don't mind his off court things as long as its not the airing of internal issues.

Again, Boozer can't be traded.

And Nick Young is not good. The last thing needed is another chucker to add onto the newest.

Are you sure Boozer cant be traded? I thought he could be traded right before the deadline... the 15th or something.

No, he was an amnesty pick up, he can't. And he's awful anyway, but he can't.

You like Nick Young? Makes sense.
