Too bad he decided to be flexible with Temple. Man, Wittman has a serious man crush on a guy who is only really a decent defender. It's like the Jason Collins circa Nets-era man crush. Decent defense, awful stats, liability on offense.

Payton and VO were mostly held in check. 4-11 and 6-18. 11 pts and 13 pts
We won in a blow out leading end to end.
Temple was 2-3, 1-2 from 3, 7 pts, 3 steals, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and zero turnovers in a Wizards 20 turnover game.

And he was plus 12 while Payton and VO where - 11 and -12

Plenty to get on Randy about. But starting and playing Temple last night is not one of those thing.

This board has to many Wolf Crying. One complaining about everything axe does not fit all situations.

I understand why people are upset about Porter's lack of playing time but then again Porter was horrible in his rookie season. It is unfair but first impressions can be hard to break.

Porter also needs to be more aggressive out there. 1 shot in 11 minutes is inexcusable IMO. I think what Wittman is seeing is that teams are not guarding Porter other than his backcourt cuts, at least Webster is stretching the floor when he's out there. Or maybe it is just the Wizards trying to get Webster hot for one game and see if there are any takers.

If Webster made one or two 3s, 9 to 12 points in 12 minutes would have have certainly escalated his value. That dunk shows he still has some athleticism. Webster is also someone that has developed good chemistry with Andre Miller over the years.

Still, if Porter started to take more shots in the flow of the offense, he would see more playing time. Basically, Porter has to find his inner Kevin Seraphin.
