ha this is the current 1st round match up and Im sure we will crush them if we are 100% come playoffs. in fact, I like this place. first against the rockettes, then the second round against the winner of portland/dallas.

we should aim for 3/4/5/6 slot rather than aiming for 2. I don't want to run into the spurs in the first then the winner of GS vs OKC in the second.

of course this will all change if the Spurs move up and others fall behind. whatever the scenario I wish to avoid Spurs / OKC until the western finals.

It's unusual with the Spurs and OKC being so low. Best case scenario is an OKC v GSW and Spurs v Memphis matchup but I think the Spurs will go on a run and rise up the ladder.

That would be so awesome, and the easiest possible path to the WCF for us with these match ups. But as the standings are today, we'd play the winner of SAS-MEM in the 2nd round (winner of 3rd-6th plays the winner of 2nd-7th). If we had the chance to pick, I think I'd rather play Warriors/OKC than Spurs/Grizzlies.

I think we get this game. jj should have a good game. harden is lazy and does not like chasing jj around. hopefully, as in past games against the clips, he will not be interested in this game.

I hope Doc doesn't go small this game. Neither JJ or Jamal will be able to stop Harden. I'd put Barnes on Harden and one of our guards on Ariza. At the other end, JJ might be able to fatigue Harden with all his running and JC might be able to draw a few fouls from Harden's lack of defense hopefully giving harden some extra bench time.

4th or 5th seed is optimal.

We get a cupcake like Portland or Houston.
Then we get a home game vs. OKC for some revenge.
IMO…2nd, 3rd, 6th or 7th are just lame as hell and we need to aim for 4th n 5th.

I hope DJ can continue his monster effort against his home town team. It would be nice for us to get a win going into the all star break. I hope we can give a good effort since most of the team doesn't have to participate in all star weekend. (And hopefully Harden is already thinking about all star weekend)
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

all that matters here.

no need to bug out over semantics. Pretty sure most ppl here would rather face those 2 teams than some of the other heavy hitters.

btw, Harden is seemingly on fire lately.

two 40 point games in a row.
Pretty good win in Phoenix last night. Up early, withstood their run and came out on top.

I'd like this as a win for us going into the break.

with Griffin out 3 weeks….looks like he wont be back til March 1st vs. Chicago (I can't add….the other thread I said the 21st).
This is a game we need to tuck in our back pocket.

We've had their number recently, so let's keep the streak going. After last night's performance, Harden should take it easier, like he always seems to do when visiting LA. I hope he gets a good workout chasing JJ around the court.

I'm expecting another 20/20 night from DJ, and Turk to drop a dozen.

But, if we are to win, Paul needs to guard Haren.

The way JJ runs around, and the way Harden plays D, JJ should be able to match him in scoring.

Anthony Davis not playing tonight. Maybe that means he will miss the AS game and let DJ get in. Hoping.

BBD already has 4 fouls in 6:36 of action. The charge called against him looked like a cheap call to me though.

Forum taking forever to load for anyone else? Anyways, I loved the activity for the last couple minutes after the Doc timeout.

Anthony Davis is the latest star to pull out of the All-Star game.
