There is clearly no love lost between Charles Barkley and the Houston Rockets. Last night we got a few examples of that with things getting personal between Morey and Barkley.
I understand that Barkley feels as if there are past grievances against this organization; but I think that it clouds his judgement about this team and it's players a bit too much.
I've heard more than one interview from Rockets personnel where they say that they have addressed this directly with TNT on multiple occasions, but no action of any type is taken. They also claim that the Rockets are a big draw for TNT, so they will schedule as many games on that network as possible.
So, what does everyone think of this? Is this an actual problem? Is this blown out of proportion? Personally, I don't watch the TNT pre-game or halftime shows, so I don't know how bad this actually might be. It certainly seems to have a lot of people up in arms today, tho.

Re: Barkley/TNT vs. Houston
Hey Houston is getting talked about on the National stage and it's basketball related. So it is a good thing.
But as a 76ers fan. Barkley sounds really silly when he talks about analytics. Analytics, as I have been educated about, is part of the solution to picking the right player. Not the entire picture. When listening to Barkley, he makes it sounds like everything except analytics is what Houston employes in picking players and building a team.
Winning a championship is not an easy thing. Houston has done a good job in building a team that can compete, without employing a tanking strategy. You have to give the organization high marks for that.

You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

Chuck knocking Morey for not winning an NBA championship... ironic.

What does Morey expect TNT to do? Censor Chuck? By complaining to TNT they've probably pissed off Chuck and exacerbated the situation. Do the Rockets even have a choice over scheduling their games on TNT or not? I would be very surprised if teams had that option considering how much Turner pays for the broadcasting rights.
ROOT sports should still show the postgame/interviews though when the game is over but I guess they might have a problem showing actual highlights of the game.

Despite Barkley being an idiot, isn't the recent thing Morey's doing anyway?
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.
