McD was just on Burns and Gambo and he said "We're going to be active over the next week" and that they would be open to signing people off of bought out contracts. I would be surprised if the Suns don't make any moves at all, but I also don't believe they will make a big splash. I think it will be more along the lines of 1 or 2 smaller trades (green, IT, tucker, ennis?) and then signing Amare. Which I think would be good for us right now because we're not going to make it out of the first round of the playoffs. If those moves keep us in the playoffs, great! If those moves make us a little bit worse, great! Making a couple moves like that would allow some of our youngins some playing time and top add a verteran presence on our team to help hasten Len's offensive game.

Suns GM Ryan McDonough on @AZSports: "I think our roster balance is a little off and that's my fault."

Oh boy, we're about to get McD'ed.

McD also made Frank Lee's day by answering Gambo's "Are Goran and Green struggling bc of IT's presence on the roster?" with "This roster is unbalanced with too many backcourt scorers, and it's my fault."

Also said that while they are open to signing buyout guys, he's not interested in 2 month rental players. Emphasized building a sustainable model for the future over making the playoffs this season.

I listened to McD on Gambo also and Gambo specifically asked him has the presence of Isaiah Thomas hurt Goran Dragic's and Gerald Green's games this year. While he did not say yes immediately, he admitted that the roster is unbalanced and too backcourt heavy and has too many scorers there. Exactly what myself and a lot of other fans have been saying. The fact that he did not immediately say no it is not because of Isaiah Thomas leads me to believe that his answer to Gambo's question is a resounding yes, it is Thomas' presence that has messed things up.

I said it from the start and my gut feeling seem to be right.
Turkoglu = WRONG
Shannon Brown = WRONG
Beasley = VERY WRONG
Childress = WRONG
Thomas = WRONG
only one I was very WRONG about, was Alex Len.

Well with those comments I'd be shocked if we don't see a move in the next week. Maybe a couple.

As long as they realize that it's not the backcourt scorers that are the problem, it's the playing style and decision-making that's the problem.

You can get rid of Isaiah Thomas all you want, but if you don't start using pick-n-roll and start spacing for Bledsoe and Dragic, nothing will change.

My dream is to get rid of Isaiah Thomas and Gerald Green, get *reliable* three point gunner or two to catch and shoot passes from Bledsoe and Dragic, elevate TJ Warren to the rotation to be the main offensive option off the bench, sign Amare Stoudemire to help out with the pick-n-roll/pick-n-pop game, and just go back to what made us so damn good to begin with. That's really all I want.

I just don't see what we can possibly do that would be really any kind of significant splash right now.

The Morris twins are 100% untradable until their legal situation is resolved
The demand for Isaiah Thomas is very, very small at this time. I don't think McD wants to sell low, I would think he wants to wait for the demand to go up. The same can be said for Bledsoe, Ennis, and Dragic.
Len, Warren, and Archie are all going nowhere

So what does that leave us with? The only things I can realistically see McD moving at the deadline are Tucker, Green, Plumlee, picks, and maybe Bullock. We aren't going to get anything great in return for that. I'm sure McDonough will do his due diligence and get on the phones but I don't think anything happens other than something like trading Plumlee for a 2nd and signing Amare.

I'm sure some people will bash McD after the deadline when nothing major happens but those people need to keep in mind that opportunities are not always available and you can't just create opportunities, you need to be patient and wait for opportunities to present themselves.

Oh boy, we're about to get McD'ed.

It's amazing that it took him 4 months into the season to figure out something that most fans figured out after the first 2-3 weeks of the season.

Not to brag, but hell I figured this out on the day we signed IT.

"figured out" and "publicly stated" are very different things.

I really don't get why the suns would bring in Amare. Seems like a pointless move at this point. It's not like the Suns are going anywhere this year so just deal some of the vets like Green or maybe even Dragic and start looking towards next year. All Amare does is take minutes from young guys I'd rather see play the last 30 games.

On a completely unrelated note. I HATE that you can't see embedded tweets in posts on the mobile app. It's so f-ing annoying and they really need to fix that.

I have listened the interview with McDonough and I think we will make some trade for sure, no way he stays pat watching this team so unbalanced. At least something like Isaiah Thomas or Gerarld Green for a future pick and then sign Amare.

As Alec Brown enters Phoenix’s D-League affiliate, the Suns are expected to discuss an NBA deal with their 2014 second-round draft pick to join the 2015-16 roster, a league source told RealGM.

He said a couple days ago that he won't be releasing any info this trade season.

Atleast that's what I got out of it.
