This. I really wish we could have jumped in on Payne. Although I'm admittedly higher on him as a prospect than most others.

I would do that in a heart beat. That is basically trading 4 quarters for a dollar

Which is why they would not do it...They are going to be looking for a 75 cent piece and 2 quarters.

Agreed he won't be traded but players pretty much never return that value. The best historically a team can usually hope for is maybe a 50 cent piece, a quarter, and some change. The T Wolves being able to get Wiggins for Love was pretty much an anomaly. The more typical are the Shaq trades, Dwight trade, etc

I the Kings would get some big offers for Cousins. Guys like Dwight and Love were expiring so that drives down the price some. But more importantly with Cousins teams will think they can "fix" him. It's not like he has legal issues; he's just really really a pain in the ass to deal with as a coach and teammate. Also don't underestimate the crazy offer a desperate GM might make. If you are already on the hot seat why not mortgage the future and offer a huge package for Cousins. If it works out you save your job; if it doesn't you're getting fired and won't have to deal with the mess you created.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

200 pages in a year we may not do any actual trades?

Rockets in: Lawson/Henson

Nuggets out: Lawson
Nuggets in: Knight/Clips 2017 1st/Pels 2015 1st

why? because fake trades are fun.

This is pretty solid, although the Rockets would need JOB included. I also expect Shved to be dealt.

Nebula I would not do that trade at all as a Bucks fan. No way we include a 1st in my opinion.

We'd cut Houston out there and take Lawson for ourselves in that scenario

Not a trade target but DeMarcus Cousins if he ever hits free agency would be very intriguing. That size, skill, ability to run the floor. A fast break with Giannis, Jabari, and DMC? That's dynasty.

Jabari and Giannis are untouchable (esp. Giannis) and we don't have the assets to get Cousins otherwise. Total pipe dream. I think Karl took the job partially because of Cousins anyway, so he won't be going anywhere.

If you wanted to target a guard from the Suns, it sounds like they are about to make a move.

"I think our roster balance is a little off, and that's my fault," Suns GM Ryan McDonough told Burns and Gambo on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM Wednesday. "We are a little too backcourt heavy, especially in terms of guys who, you know, I think you'd define primarily as scorers in the backcourt.

"So I think at some point we'll need to balance that out, try to get a little more size, a little more frontcourt scoring and rebounding."

Gery just tweeted the Bucks are still showing interest in Stauskas.

I think Karl and Cousins will have a hard time coexisting. I think at some point soon Cousins will get traded. The trade talk is all a moot point - I agree with everyone that feels it would take one of the big two on the Bucks and picks. Your kidding yourself if you think Henson, BK and picks would get it done (or anything other then GA or Parker).

Would love to steal him from Sacramento. Let him slowly develop with our stable staff. He may never pan out, but that's the type of move we should be making. Especially if it's a deal surrounding Ersan.

Would like to get Ennis from them. Not sure what we could do to make it work though. I'm guessing they want to trade IT or perhaps Dragic before they feel they might lose him for nothing. I could see Houston atoning for their mistake in letting Dragic go, giving up some of their assets for him.

I'm not very high on Stauskas' long-term potential, but agree that he's a risk I'm more willing to take vs. a Tobias-Redick type trade.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

I'm in even though I think Stauskas busts.
