Terrible Terrence Ross Needs a Change of Scenery
It's just not working out for him here maybe he can be dealt at the trade deadline for something useful.
He's not some young player with upside he's a lost inconsistent 24 year old with no heart or any desire to
get better.
Bruno can't be that much worse than him at this point....
Hopefully the Raps will stop that bad habit they have of reaching for guys in the draft

Re: Terrible Terrence Ross Needs a Change of Scenery
Agreed - Ross and Toronto is a marriage that isn't working. Change is needed on both sides. Maybe Ross can do well somewhere else. Sadly, I think the "team" environment and how close knit this group is, is good for him on and off the court. What it comes down to is Ross is simply not a good player. Never was, really. He had a 51 point game, a big dunk on Faried, a miserable playoff round that included one big play in game 7....and otherwise, he's a terrible defender now. Terrible offensive game. 24 isn't young. Should be way more consistent by now. Deal him, let his contract expire, waive him...whatever.
Or...keep him. Give him 15 minutes and hope his shot is on. Can be part of a deep bench. We as fans need to realize he's not going to get much better the way it looks.

I remember when I was called crazy and that he would b the next Paul George. We need to stop overrating our young talent and think that we somehow have drafted the next big thing.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him traded by Masai at some point.

He needs a heart transplant. I get the Bargnani i dont care vibe from him. We would probably be lucky to get a 2nd rounder for him at this point.
why was hakeem called "the dream"??"
Because it rhymes with 'Olajuwon'.

Re: Terrible Terrence Ross Needs a Change of Scenery
Yes, his mentality/effort isn't as great as others but let's not act as though he had some world class skill in the first place. His ceiling was always a solid role player and it still is. Fans get fooled by a player who has an aesthetically pleasing game but lacks everything.
I hope fans finally realize that he really isn't all that good. His size has always been a massive issue and he doesn't have the lateral quicks/handles/vision/IQ to overcome that

Is it just me, or does Ross look a bit too frail physically? He seemed more stronger last season.

Ross has completely fallen off and a trade would be the best course of action. I'm not sure how much faith the FO has in him.

Why would Chicago do that tho?
I'm going to go on record as saying I don't think we should trade him yet - he's very talented and he just had a kid when he acts like a kid himself - say his instagram and his locker is like 18 pairs of shoes in haphazard places
he doesn't have an organized mind just yet but he has physical tools and talent that much is plain, if he isn't a negative in the locker room he is another lower-aged project on a rookie deal just like Masai likes
I mean I think I'd do it for Taj but the real decision is what to do with Lou or if we are putting our eggs in a 2016 free agent bonanza

Big disappointment for me personally, had high hopes for him but he just doesn't have the focus or desire to be better it seems.

Trade him whilst his value is absolutely rock bottom and the club is in a winning position.
Yeah that makes sense.
Yeah that makes sense.

This place is insufferable.

Re: Terrible Terrence Ross Needs a Change of Scenery
I agree.
Ross has been incredibly disappointing.
It seemed last season, finally with some consistent playing time after the Rudy Gay trade, he would become a very good player. He averaged over 10ppg on excellent 3 point shooting, showed some good skill, incredible athleticism, and even the ability to guard multiple positions.
This season has had all the opportunity to elevate his game. Yet, we see that he has remained soft, he rarely gets to the free throw line or dunks, despite being arguably the most explosive player at the 2 guard position. When Demar got hurt, many of us thought that this would allow Ross to prove himself and show what he's capable of (maybe a bit like Paul George did once Danny Granger got hurt). Instead of taking of advantage of the opportunity Ross did little to show any improvement or ability to take over games.
Now he just looks disinterested, he doesn't get mad at himself, doesn't do little things to help become more effective (defense and getting to the line), he always settles for the outside shot.
The good thing for us is that we added depth with Lou and JJ which has made up for little contribution Ross has provided this season.

He was so good last year. Great defender, great shooter, cut down on dumb mistakes tremendously. I don't know what happened

Ross is happy for the 8 day All-Star break because he'll now get to play NBA 2K15 and be on Instagram 24/7.
I gave up on Ross after last season...realized that he was nothing more than a scrub. Glad that all of you finally see that now.

Re: Terrible Terrence Ross Needs a Change of Scenery
I foolishly thought T.Ross was a star in the making. His effort just isn't there, way too passive on the offensive end, and has somehow regressed as a defender.
At this point, Ross is looking more MoPete then Vince Carter. I really hope he turns it around some point soon.

Re: Terrible Terrence Ross Needs a Change of Scenery
As much as i want ross to be traded, I don't really see Masai making any shake-ups with the current roster. I mean were 36-17 and chemistry is always spoken of with this team, so i doubt Masai wants to make any changes. I think we'll be seeing the same 15 on our roster in 9 days vs GS.
