I know. There is nothing we can give up that would be in the best interests of the Suns. I'm no undervaluing Kanter, if anything that was a joke. I think the Suns will let Len control the center position going into the future.

If your Jeff Hornacek, you have to fight like crazy to trade IT and keep Dragic. Goran is simply too valuable for Hornacek's style of play and its all right here

I had this IT for Kanter thought the other day while discussing a trade with someone in the trade forum. He'd be a guy that might be nice for depth (more needed at that position than at pg) but we'd probably either need to trade Kanter in a year or not match is RFA offer (unless he became a stud) because he is soon going to get into his second contract and I don't know that we'd need him. But it might be worth it just to let him play his QO or look to trade or just let walk.....less long term committed money than IT.

Kanter *shudder*

We don't need more firepower on offense. Nor do we need a bigger black hole on defense. Nor do we need to trade IT.

Thread analyzing the value of the Suns PGs.

Guess who had the lowest trade value? Hint: the shortest player in the league

I'd bet McD already has a trade lined up to move IT and it isn't exciting, so I bet the strategy is to see what type of offers Dragic can bring in.

If Dragic or Dragic + others can return a nice asset, then we bite the bullet and trade him rather then risk losing him in the offseason.

If Dragic does not fetch high enough offers, then I bet we dump IT for garbage and hope we can keep him in the off season.

I thought it was a bit surprising to see people say that Tony Parker isn't enough for Dragic. A Suns fan but also others. Maybe with both under contract but with the two months left, that was odd, though I don't know Parker's status.

Holy crap if Kanter is available they gotta kick the tires. Len/Kanter would be a young and massive frontcourt going forward. F this small ball crap and go with the twin towers. Kieff as the 6th man.

I think you are right on the money. We will likely get garbage for IT or not much that is exciting for Dragic. What do you prefer? I'll take the garbage and roll the dice with Dragic. Enough time to emphasize we want him here and we want him to be a part going forward.

If we trade IT and Dragic still leaves? So be it...hopefully SunsfanSSOL is right and Bledsoe turns into Wall or Westbrook and Ennis is the nice backup.

How about this and ask for some kind of pick? Then sign Amare.

What's the vision with Amare? Coming off the bench? PF or C?

Get prepared cause West is too strong talent wise, we're not gonna have an All Star for a while even if someone plays at an AS caliber level like Goran did last season.

I'm very intrigued to see how McD comes out of the corner where he has put himself in. I think this will be his biggest test as a GM yet.
He is just not in a good position when it comes to trading, as noone is willing to give up anything remotley fair when we are so desperate to move one of our PGs, and we are 100% not giving up Bled - rightfully so.
That leaves IT or Dragic, but I just don't see a market for IT, and teams are likely trying to buttrape us on Dragic, becouse of his FA status, and the fact that the league is pretty full of good PGs, plus he is having a down year (which is not totally his fault, but I'm sure it's used in the negotiations).
Somethings gotta give in the next 10 days or so, and in my eyes it will determine a lot about McD. How does he correct a mistake that he has made?

How about this:
IT and Plumlee for O'Quinn plus Gordon?
Throw in 2nd rounders / swap picks according to your taste, but I think this would be a fair trade, as we are giving up more talent, but they are taking on more salary and we are the ones who "need" this trade more.

If I'm the Suns I trade both Dragic and IT. For who? I don't know.
