Warning for derailing.

It's an OT thread, clearly labeled. If you don't have something to do other than complain about it, simply don't post. Instead you insist every post in every thread need be about your personal agenda. It's grating and obnoxious. Nick Young is not the problem with our team. The fact that we have Kobe, Randle, Nash, X out for the season is a much, much larger part than Nick's crappy shooting percentage. We get it, he's a mostly one-dimensional player. It's not a surprise to anybody. Apparently you think it's your life's mission to save us.

We don't need the help. We get who Nick Young is, and know that $4M for a player is chicken-scratch.

And now, onto your regularly scheduled OT dolphins thread:

His tunnel vision is likely my biggest complaint of him, its ok to iso, Crawford does that a ton as well but you can't just go into every possession thinking two dribbles, shoot when you can't get by your defender and get to the basket. Nuggets played him well by effectively blitzing him whenever he put the ball on the floor and he got pushed right back to the half way line without even thinking of a pass.

You should all have known this when we got him. There's a go of him taking a post-fade three from the corner behind the basket over a defender with like 12 seconds on the shot clock.... It's hilarious, but that's what Young is. Some games he'll go ham and others he'll be baloney. It comes with what the Swag is. If we were winning, I'd care more. We aren't, so as long as he's his goofy, entertaining self I don't really care, as long as he isn't a nuisance to the media.

He got his contract because he is one of about 3 players in the NBA who will look off kobe and take an open three. When kobe was playing, nick was top 5 in the nba in 3 pt percentage, now he is the focus of the entire defense (even getting doubled) and has fallen off and is trying to do too much. Still his 3 point percentage is 2/1000ths of a percent lower than Chandler Parsons'.

Trying to judge his game as the offensive focal point is like trying to judge Ryan Kelly as a starting 3. It just doesn't make sense. They are bench players who come in and take WIDE open threes without fear. That is not the case this year.

He is helping the tank most importantly.

im indifferent with him right now...I have to see his impact when we do start winning games and becoming playoff contenders again. If his struggles cont. then and his game still lacks other aspects to it then yes we need to trade him but his contract is hardly terrible.

I imagine a day where Swaggy hits the game winner in a playoff game and Wox is all:

Young is at best a 5th option on a good team... If you need his usage to be higher than that, you're in trouble.

He's a worse shooting, better playmaking version of JR Smith. Primary scoring option off the bench is probably his most natural role.

No Wox, you don't get to respond anymore. It's time to let it go. People don't disagree with your stance as much as they disagree with the rediculous level of passion you have for this one issue and the fact that you feel compelled to constantly post it. We all know how you feel... We see your posts coming a mile a way and as a result, you're turning yourself into the butt of a joke. Just stop it.

The threads are combined because they were becoming redundant.

If some team offered a mid round first for Nick,I think the Lakers would do it. not a lottery, but 15-20. Celtics have a lot of picks...Just want more assets to start the rebuild.

I think it goes more like that Clayton Bigsby sketch in Dave Chappelle where the white supremacist find out their leader is black.

Judging Nick Young based off of playing together with this putrid excuse of a basketball team is hilarious if you ask me.

The Lakers pay him 4 mill a year for two reasons: 1) it's a bargain given what his contributions on a contender can be and 2) he puts fans in the seats while this team is busy sucking in hopes of turning things around.

You're definitely out of touch with reality dude.

Nobody wants that dude at his price, with his antics, and with his probable separation issues due to his love affair with the city of Los Angeles.

Bad signing, simple and plain.

The fact that this seemingly pragmatic front office chose to invest in this dude makes me question their judgement.

He was and is EASILY REPLACEABLE by practically any unwanted deft-shooting wing (reference Wayne Ellington).

Shoulda' let him walk.

Swaggy p just loves the Lakers and everything that comes with it, IMO we need more players like that. Right now stats mean s***, hate this damn word but we are in a tank mode. I could careless how many time he chucks it up, or his fg%. If he posts these same numbers, and if we land a good FA, then we can talk about how this was such a bad signing but until then I'm just enjoying the journey/entertainment.
