I think they are waiting for the CBA season to end. We are probably done trading.

So things are looking good now but what's gonna happen next season?

Love - still some doubt but should stay

TT - turned down a lot of money and might be seeking a bigger role, aka starter. Will probably keep him because I doubt anyone else offers as much as we will and we have bird rights.

Shump - This is the tough one. Shump is looking really good atm and seems to be getting better every game. Reports are hes after 10 per. No bird rights so it's hard to see us keeping him but I'd love to at this stage.

Marion - retirement

Miller/Jones etc - useless

J R Swish - free agent

Moral of the story is our depth is already bad and looks like there's a fair chance it takes a big hit next season.
Cause for concern?

Keeping a wing of these two is a necessity

If Gilbert is as big as a spender as he wants and smith stays locked in, I think he could sign shump first and then resign love and Thompson

Are the Cavs looking at anyone in particular from the CBA?

Hopefully Will Bynum, he would be a nice third PG to have on the roster going into the Playoffs.

Smith is opting in and leaving in 2016.
Shumpert or Thompson are out, if Thompson commands more than 8 per year I will let him go, if they pay him more than that is LeBron´s and his friends fault, he is not worthy of that type of money.

Appears we may be getting Perkins.

Keep banging on about this all you want but facts are cavs offered him 13 per. No doubt to me he's worth at least 10 per and will get that without a trouble. He is a vital part of this team.

Nothing. He's a good locker room guy he's just not that good at basketball.

Just because this is Cleveland and we usually are cured, I hope the fact that this dirty player on the team does not cure us this year

I understand the move but done like it

I was hoping for Javal Magee (sp?) would be the buyout He's not a POS on the floor like Perkins is

Cured? I think you mean cursed.

If you think he's dirty then all the reason you think that mean he's better off on our team than another.

I'd also say that the fact he's coming here shows he and Lebron have no animosity over the Blake Griffin dunk comments. Or at least both of their desire's to win is greater than any negative forces people might be worried about as far as his locker room presence.

Javale McGee? I'd have worried about his locker room presence. Perkins at least has playoff experience and understands the professionalism needed. It's not like Perkins is being counted on as a starter. He's going to play a role and now teams might not be so focused on getting Mozgov out of there knowing Perkins is going to bang on them - plus coach can better manage Mozgov if he's in trouble to preserve him. Perkins is a better, more needed addition than a backup point IMO.

I'm liking our chances more and more as this season goes on. Atlanta has looked lately like they peaked too soon, D.Rose is inconsistent and Gibson has a bad hand, we destroyed Washington. The East teams I'd fear most are the Hawks and Bulls. If we get the 2 or 3 seed we'll likely only have to face one of them. Everything is coming up roses for the Cavaliers. Just stay healthy! <saying prayer>

Rose is not inconsistent he's consiatanly terrible.

Anyway with the perk addition I worry about our offense when he and TT are on the floor together. Could be ugly.

For those 5 minutes a game, you will see lots of screens, and TT settings picks up high. Nothing to worry about really.

For next year, with Mozgov and Perkins (if re-signed)...Love (if re-signed) and Varejao, where are the minutes for Thompson who will command a pretty lofty salary. I think the cavs will hope to sign and trade him.

Love (35)/Varejao (13)
Mozgov (30)/Varejao (13)/Perkins (5)
