Ersan for Stauskas and Reggie Evans works for me. Idk about salaries or Sacramento or even Milwaukee but I like it personally lol.

Stauskas sure doesn't look the part but he's cerainly worth taking a flier on and Reggie Evans is a beast on the glass and he'd bring some toughness and depth we lack and most importantly he'd bury JOB on the bench.

I don't think we can afford to lose a big without getting 1 back right now. A hard worker and grinder like Evans should fill in nicely imo. Milwaukee Grinders!

Yes to any young prospect if we can dump Ersan's contract. They just paid Channing Frye a boat load of money to be their stretch 4 though, so I doubt they'd have interest.

I didn't mean lets trade Ersan to the Magic, I meant if we are able to dump him on any team really. I'd easily play Nicholson minutes over JOB or Martin.

I am interested in Katner if the price is reasonable. I acknowledge that his stats are bad, and that he has been a soft player up to this point. But I love his size, coordination, and midrange game. He is a promising offensive big right now, you could run pick and pop with him all day. And I do think that there is a decent chance he still has developmental potential on the defensive side. Young, mobile, bigs don't come along very often. And it is only the surprise arrival of Goebert and Favors that have Katner floating around in trade rumors.

Obviously I don't want to overpay, but this is exactly the kind of prospect we should be rolling the dice on. If he could be tutored by ZaZa for a year, and diversify his game, I think he becomes a very good NBA player.

I'd take Stauskas if all we are giving up is Ersan. I'd possibly be ok with including the Clippers 1st round pick but I'd try to get it done without it.

Same here on the first part. I'd be a little tentative to give up the pick in addition unless our player personnel really love Stauskas and think he can be a player.

I liked Nicholson coming out of college - seemed like a player who had a knack for scoring - but that has not translated to the NBA. He had a good rookie year but free-falled after that.

Monroe? He is a unrestricted Free Agent next year and soft. He is expecting 15 million+ next season. Drummond far better choice. Athlete who likes to rebound.

Hibbert is just plain awful my freind. Just what we need grrrr. He also not sure at times if he wants to play basketball. We already have one headcase to get rid of don't add another.

If Detroit took offers for Drummond, there'd be 30 teams in line offering the stars and the moon. They aren't trading him.

One other problem with trading for Monroe - we wouldn't get Bird rights on him.

I like DH34Fan's proposal of Henson and the Clip's first for Kanter. That sounds rich on our end, but that Clips pick will likely be very average, and (though underwhelming to this point) young, mobile, bigs that can shoot don't ever come cheap. Kidd likes to run stuff where Zaza is screening and passing out of the high post, and Kanter has the range to really excel in that role. Obviously he is a terrible passer as of right now. So a lot of incentive for a move like this is to acquire versatile talent which you hope you can develop.

I think his problem was with Orlando's coach and style of play. Vaughn wanted guys that play lock down D and hustle. He's not a good man defender, but I think he'd do fine in the Bucks scheme. Defensively he's longer than Ersan, and offensively I think he's better than Ersan. He shot 43.4% from 3pt his senior year college with a 63.7ts% and 60.1efg%. I'd love to see what our coaching staff could do with him.

Can't argue that, I even said it in my post. But good management asks themselves if that is in his mindset and will always be true, or if that is a result of a young player trying to make a name for himself in a bad basketball situation the last few years in Utah. I don't know the answer, but he is big, skilled, and young and I would rather toll the dice (with the expectation that we have a great player development program) with those kind of tools than say a Henson type.. who is very limited by his inability to shoot from range, carry weight, etc.

I can't argue with what the stats say about Kanter so far, but it would be short sided to think of him as a finished product.

Henson's a better player, imo. His per minute stats are better, and he's a better defender.

I think Kanter could fit in well offensively at PF with Henson on the floor. He needs to be in a Zach Randolph role where he can bang underneath (I know he's got some range too) yet not be the primary rim protector. He's got slow feet defensively and a low bbiq. I want to like him but I'm not sure that I'd give up much to get him.
