Scrubs? If you don't want to be warned for trolling, do better.

(Though you're welcome to take Vasquez back.)

Yeah, I was just speaking how we viewed them in Sacramento, but Greivis and PPat might be playing better in TO

might be? Patterson is shooting over 40% from three point range haha

So Sactown is looking for a high level front court player...but is Nik Stauskas a high level back court player? Beggers can't be choosers, Vivek

Thank god you are not a GM

This doesn't sound so bad anymore...

Trading for a 13.6 min per game player who averages 1 rebound, 0.7 ast, 0.2 stl and 3.4 pts on 40% shooting (26% threes)

sounds very bad

I can't stress enough how you're the worst poster in this board's history for suggesting this.

We're 36-17, 2nd in the East, with Amir, Val and DD playing huge minutes. The Kings are 18-34. In what world do we replace those 3 with Cousins and a complete bum in Stauskas and remain competitive. This is easily the worst trade I've ever seen suggested here, and your account should be disabled for the sheer awfulness of this trade suggestion.

Sure, let's trade our whole frontcourt and all-star SG for Demarcus Cousins. Great trade. Back to the high lottery for us. :noway: :noway: :noway:

I think Cousins-Lowry is a step in the right direction towards winning a championship.

I'm not interested in a 2nd round ceiling team.

Yes and Cousins would be like the son Casey never had. Get real. Cousins would go nuclear in TO.

Comparing stats in this case is useless. Stauskas has barely played and is a rookie. You are paying for potential and the idea that Stauskas could be no worse than Ross currently is. Ross is a known commodity at this point...Stauskas is still very much a work in progress...

I like the idea of only moving players whose value expires. A deal that could net us say Goodwin, Plumlee and Ennis might make sense in that we stock up on some more projects. I think Ross and Grievous are trade candidates but can we afford to lose so much 3 point shooting? Does one of Amir or PPat need to go? With our record any major shake-ups looks like suicide.

I wonder if we could get Stauskas for our 2015 1st rounder? It's not like the King's need a player in the short term. If we could trade Ross for him I'd be on board with that too. If for no other reason then to gain 2 more years on a team controlled contract.

I still think Stauskas will be pretty solid, he has a high bball IQ and will eventually adapt to the speed of this level. That said, I can fully understand anyone who disagrees. I thought that he'd be better than this as a rookie.

We don't know really if Stauskas even has Jimmer potential... I'd rather trade for Ennis. As long as the Raps have Derozan and Sac has Gay a shooter like Stauskas is going to struggle.

This is what happens when owners make the draft selection.

Wow Stauskas getting trashed in this thread smh. This is the same guy who was one of the best college players in the country a year ago and has strong fundamentals. He was drafted into a poor situation, it's as simple and obvious as that.

The fact Kings are asking for good value for him is a signal they still think highly of him. He was insurance against Mclemore not taking another step, which he has.

True...but we don't know if Stauskas could be that sharp shooter that we all hoped Ross could have become. I think the Terence Ross experiment is done and he is what he is. You can deny the physical tools are there for Ross to be a good 3+D guy...but the mental aspect is lacking. Its all potential still but if the price of Stauskas is Ross or Bebe...I would roll the dice. Stauskas isn't worth any all-star or starting caliber frontcourt player.

Why is the experiment done tho? What because he lost his starting spot? He didn't even get it until Gay was traded away - Ross was never ready to be a starter, but he got good experience and minutes and was hot and cold in the role.

In the playoffs, he found out he got a groupie pregnant and got rattled;played like **** and still got the steal to give us a chance at losing at the buzzer.

Like clockwork, fast forward 9 months, baby pops out, his life is changing, he's still only a 24 year old that plays video games and smokes weed, now he has a baby and a groupie that he has to take care of...

Does it really surprise you that he is the first one out of the gym and not focused in games? It doesn't surprise me.

That doesn't mean you throw away talent because the trade deadline is coming up and "its time to make a change"

I just don't buy it. If anything, you let his slump result into a cheap contract re-up, and develop him waiting for his mind to come around - or we can give him up like we did Billups and Camby I guess.

All of those things are examples of Ross just not having it mentally. He's not the first 24 year old NBA player to have a kid or be put into the SL prematurely. Having a child didn't make him miss easy layups he could've dunked, just to avoid contact. He's just soft man. There's nothing anybody else can do about it. I was as high on Ross as anybody and I still think he could find a place in the league long term but I think it's wise to move him while he still has the potential label.

The King's new owner is truly one of the worst I have seen in a long long time. Im sure he is a nice man and a sharp businessman but he should stay away from basketball operations if he wants to build a contender.

First they traded for a 20 million per year, underachieving player then they wanted to trade for more overpaid underachieving players in D-Will, Josh Smith and Rondo. They then traded for another overpaid and underachieving player in Derrick Williams which didn't make any sense considering they already had Rudy and a bunch of undersized bigs. After that, they spent their 8th pick on a shooting guard when they just drafted one the year before instead of drafting a PG or a traditional PF. Despite all that, they start the season with 9-5 record in a tough western conference and they fired their coach after Boogie goes down with an injury. What a joke. I hope Boogie demands a trade and get out of there ASAP.
