Dan Bickley on the "Bickley and Mirada radio show" said the the Suns are looking to trade Goran Dragic for a first round pick. He sites rumors, and I'm not sure that he is any more informed than this board is. However there seems to be a lot of "noise" building that Goran maybe on the move. Now, if he agrees to sign with us and not test the free agent market then I believe the Suns will pay him well and lock him up. If not, we may seek to trade and get what we can.

Now of course a team trading for Goran takes the chance that he walks away in the off season but I could see a desperate team taking the chance.

If you're talking about Vince Marotta that's how it's spelled. Went to hs with the dude. They might just be regurtitating what that Milwaukee guy tweeted, which a guy on the general board talked about right here... viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1372340&start=43#start_here

As for Goran, it makes no sense to trade him. It worked well last season with Bledsoe-Dragic and one of them on the floor at all times with Green. It meant that both Bled and Goran had enough of the ball because Green played off of it. Now Goran barely touches it. The rare times he does get to run the show the offense looks much better. It is pretty hard to make an All NBA player disappear in your offense, but the Suns have managed that this season. Good job. *slow clap*

I wouldn't blame Goran for being unhappy. I remember before the season he said something like free agency will come and he will end up just resigning with the Suns right away. Don't think it is like that anymore.

Because McD tried to play Toronto and ended up playing himself and in the end Ennis as well..

Finally, someone who gets it. This goran trade **** storm is basically a product of fans assuming and some no name reporter from the eastern conference no less, saying that we want a first for him. Its just silly.

The best part is the whole "we want a first for Goran Dragic" thing is that it's being presented as if that's the only thing we would want. As if he's **** Miles Plumlee or something.

Eat a dick.

I'm being impatient but I want a trade to happen already. It's been a while since something exciting has happened, there's nothing to talk about now.

We just flush out the stuff over and over again in terms of Tobias Harris, DeMarcus Cousins, Taj Gibson, etc.

Sunsbum that's not true.
Lon Babby was asked is goran being shopped?

He said I plead thee fifth... Couldn't be anymore blatant lol

Do you you guys remember the game against the Spurs last year when Dragic was out and the Suns were fighting for the playoffs. Well that game is a glimpse of what Bledsoe is capable of doing if he is given full reigns to a team. His final stat line was 30 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists, 3 steals, 7 turnovers, 2 fouls, 11-16 fg, 2-4 3pt, 37 minutes. Here are the highlights in case you do not remember: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEIYLU9WyFY (the youtube clip says 10 rebounds but he had 11). Gerald Green was also awesome that game putting up 27 points as the starting shooting guard.

Now the Suns lost that game, but not because of Bledsoe. P.J. Tucker shot 1-8 and Marcus Morris shot 1-7. So when your small forwards combine to go 2-15 and score six total points while the man they are guarding Danny Green scores 33 points, it is very difficult to win.

My point is that if Dragic and Thomas are traded, the Suns can finally unleash Bledsoe as the main ball handler and allow him to flourish. Even though him and Dragic seem to play well together on the surface, they are holding each other back. They basically take turns on who is running the team. There is no consistent flow to the offense. That is no way to play. They both need the ball in their hands. That is more evident now than ever. I am fully confident that the Suns can trade Dragic and Thomas for more assets and have a backcourt of Bledsoe, Green, Ennis, Goodwin, and Bullock rotating until the time comes when either one or more of them breaks out into a superstar or the Suns trade for a superstar.

Finally unleash Bledsoe? I'm sorry but that is a tad silly. It is Dragic that has been handicapped here not Eric. If anything we have tailored this offense specifically for Eric. He has been good, not great, but the cost has likely been losing Goran if not now then in the offseason.

I'm starting to get antsy too. I think McD will get a trade done before the deadline. If he doesn't I'll be pretty disappointed
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

They both play better individually without the other. When Dragic ran the team last year they were slightly a net positive overall, and with Bledsoe they were a net negative. I think it projected to like 42 wins (based on pt differential) with Dragic and 37 with Bledsoe.

But together they projected to what, 55 wins or something?

Sure, each player limits the other's individual stats to some extent, as do Westbrook/Durant, and other stars playing together, but the TEAM is better with both of them.

Are you really just focused on ONE guy's stat line? I mean Kobe, Melo and those types are fun for some, but I prefer team ball and guys that come together to make the TEAM better and are not just focused on their own stats. I think Bledsoe and Dragic enjoyed the team concept last year because the team was competitive and they were winning.

But I guess if it is more important to you to see a great individual stat line than team success, you have a point. Bledsoe's stats WILL get better overall if he is the only PG on the floor, so if that's your primary goal, then I can see your angle, though I obviously am not concerned only about one guy's stats.

I think McD's been great. And I like the idea of trading Dragic for a first. I've been in that boat for most of the season. It's been lonely in my boat.

McDyess didn't want to play here. Goran signed here on his own free will.

I wouldn't have been in favor of it earlier in the year but now I am. The season has played out and it's become pretty evident this year isn't the year. It's time to cut your losses and get some value before some team throws 15+ mil a yr at Goran this summer and we lose him for nothing. **** it's time to clear some minutes and see what they have in the youngins.

It seems pretty absurd to me that most suns fans think all we can get for Goran is a first. The magic want a first for that nicholsen kid who avgs 4 pts 1 rebound a game or some ****.
