Korver has the most impact on the entire Hawks team

The Pacers had a hot start that was the result of Paul George hitting contested mid range fadeaways and 3 pointers for the first half of the season and then him coming back down to earth.
There's nothing that would suggest the Hawks have any sort of regression to the mean in their future. Nobody is playing above their abilities.

ATL ia a great example of being in the right place at the right time. They won't be able able to beat the Bulls or Cleveland at full strength. Early season doesn't mean as much as the second half. The second half is when teams have had enough time to start to click and are gathering momentum for a playoff run.
ATL is still a good team, but it's almost certain they won't come back down to to earth because everyone will be coming up to their level

He's developed into a fine overall player but he's not a star. He got in simply because he's the leading scorer on the top-seeded team in the EC. And while Korver is on pace to put up some historic shooting numbers, in reality he's a role player. It's nice to see a good role player in the all-star game at the end of the bench, but Korver also is not a star player.
Brandon Knight is probably more deserving than both of those guys and yet even he isn't putting up star-like numbers
WHAT are you talking about? jeff teague has done everything better than brandon knight other than rebound
Not true at all. Teague is a better distributor and that's pretty much it. Knight is a better pure shooter, better defender and is doing more with less talent on his team. Teague's efficiency has been inflated as the Hawks have become a more cohesive and deeper team. His numbers haven't really improved a great deal the past two seasons compared to this current season because he's basically the same player. He's simply getting more recognition now that the Hawks have been arguably the most surprising team in the NBA this season. Teague's shooting improvement this season compared to last can simply be attributed to Horford being healthy this year.
Keep in mind that this Hawks team is essentially the same team as last season minus Lou Williams but with Thabo Sefolosha and a healthy Al Horford. Last year's Hawks were a 38-win team. Jeff Teague isn't the reason why the Hawks are in first place right now; they simply had a big hole in the frontcourt that made them inept at playing the style they are currently utilizing.
Brandon Knight, on the other hand, has led his team to a +.500 record after Jabari Parker went down with a season-ending injury. His shooting has improved significantly since last season on a team that has a relatively stagnant offense. When you consider the overall talent level that Knight has to work with as opposed to Teague, there's no question in my opinion that what Knight is doing is more impressive. I don't think that there's a huge difference in talent level here, but I'd be willing to venture that Knight's numbers were he on Atlanta would be better than Teague's would be on Milwaukee.

teague's last 4 seasons TS%:
55.1
54.3
54.1
57.6
this year's improvement can't be due to horford being healthy

I'm kinda cheering for the Hawks just because they had no fans into recently. Despite the emergence of Kane and Toews as future superstars.

It's fun, Thibs put Ronnie Brewer , Richard Hamilton and Keith Bogans before Korver.
When I saw the headline “Boozer named to Olympic Hoops Team,” I thought Vin Baker was headed to Athens.

April 28th, 2012:
Derrick Rose is out for the season. We have just been eviscerated in the playoffs. With CJ Watson essentially losing the series for us in 1 single play.
July 13th, 2012:
Bulls trade Korver, who had been ineffectual in 2 consecutive playoff sereis
July 23rd, 2012:
Kirk Hinrich is signed to ensure Bulls have a PG who can get them through the season.
Regardless of what Korver has done....he struggled twice with the Bulls in the playoffs. The only thing is the Bulls didn't use the TPE for something more useful than letting it expire. You can say even that helped but they could have used something for last two years
He may have struggled in the playoffs, but let's look at the situation they were facing. The offense was already heavily leaning on Rose, and now he's out with ACL. So what does the FO do to help the offense after losing the MVP of the league? They get rid of arguably the best shooter in the league and replace 80% of his salary with Kirk freakin Hinrich. It didn't make sense then and it still doesn't now anyway you slice it. The only way it makes sense was that they scrapped that year as a lost year and brought it a fan favorite for the distraction, while avoiding the luxury tax since it wasn't worth paying in a lost year (even though they ended up paying it anyway since they couldn't even give away RIP without attaching a first).

It made a lot of sense to get guys like Hinrich, Bellinelli instead of Korver. The Bulls needed ball handling in the worst way. Kirk has had a decent couple of years and looks like he has fallen off this year. If MVP Derrick could not set up Korver in a playoff series consistently, not many PGs would have.
Korver would have been pretty much useless with the Bulls without Derrick. He is like the gold plating on top of a Mercedes (Derrick). It is dumb to put gold plating on top of a Honda Civic (Kirk, Nate, Bellinelli etc...)

Korver all start performance = 4/8 form 3 point line in 15 minutes. That's your all star. lol
