Rockets own first is going to Lakers. Doubt they give up the Pelicans pick for him, considering it's currently #13.

Gery is the source

I wish these sites would stop siting Gery as their source. Makes for good click bait but jeez!

Sporting news on Karl looking to make roster changes:

Ultimately, the team has zeroed in on power forward as the spot that needs addressing, as Thompson has averaged just 5.6 points and 6.3 rebounds this year. The Kings want a player who can create space with perimeter shooting—Thompson is 1-for-27 in his career as a 3-point shooter.

That’s made the market for Thompson a tough one—and the market for versatile big men is pretty thin in general. The Kings could be willing to gamble on Bucks forward Ersan Ilyasova, who has struggled with injuries and has seen his play decline over the past two seasons. The Bucks would be happy to rid themselves off the final two years and $16 million on Ilyasova’s contract.

Would prefer Stauskas but I'll take Derrick Williams/Casspi expirings and call it a day.

Very interesting. The Bucks/Kings being linked in trade rumors is starting to pick up some steam. Hopefully we see something come to fruition. Ilyasova + Clippers 2017 1st for Stauskas + Thompson works for me.

Yea, I'd take Thompson and his contract that runs through '17 but only if we're getting Stauskas out of it. Otherwise hell no.

I'm not giving up a 1st round pick for Stauskas.

If they want to swap JT for Ersan, fine, but I'd rather have that 1st than Stauskas.

Guy is being overrated to insane levels by this board.

Coulda been said a year ago. Stauskas is perfect buy low option. That Clippers pick will be in the 20's, possibly high 20s or 30 two years from now.

Stauskas is just the current great white hope of this board.

No way I'm swapping JT and Ersan unless we get an asset.

I will say the more that I look at our roster the more I hope we clear some cap at the deadline and maybe buyout Sanders. I think it would be real nice if we could clear up room to go after a guy like Wes Matthews. I'd like to watch something like:

Knight - Matthews - Middleton - Giannis - Henson next season... with Jabari coming off of the bench until he regains confidence and is ready for that role post-injury. Once Jabari is fully back then we could bring either Middleton or Matthews off of the bench.

I think Matthews is a pointless sign. Esp with Middleton. If it isn't part of a combo of moves that somehow makes us contenders next year, I don't see the point.

EDIT: I also don't see any kind of moves that make us legit contenders next year, just saying that's the only way I take Matthews.

I don't think signing both Matthews/Middleton makes sense. I'd just keep Middleton. I do agree on wanting to clear cap for FA/trade options though.

Except I was on the trade for McLemore train last year.

One is an NBA player and the other is not.

Since when is trading a 1st round pick "Buying Low"?

There is no point to signing Wes Matthews to a huge deal.

Sign Knight & Middleton and save money for Giannis Max contract next summer.

Yeah, I would much rather just keep Ersan.

My final offer would be Ersan/2nd for JT/Stauskas.....I'm not including that 1st rounder. No way.

I'd do JT/Stauskas for Ersan. Wary on giving up a first considering the unknown nature. Granted its lotto protected but two years from now Paul breaking down isn't that far fetched.
