Its not like it isnt a nice asset, assuming its the pelicans pick. My order would be:

1) NOH 1st and use the cap room on someone else

2) Dragic @ 20m/year
3) Let dragic walk and use the cap room on someone else

with the way Rockets have been drooling all over Dragic while thinking all it would take is their garbage to get him, that has left a bad taste in my mouth. Yeah i'd let dragic walk for nothing

Who are you referring to when you say the Rockets? And what are you referring to when you say their garbage?

You could be getting a lottery pick for someone you probably won't re-sign in the off-season.

Though a trade to the Lakers wouldn't be a bad option either, make sure their pick lands outside the top-5 and you get it.

Honestly, if the Rockets were interested, i would do this:

Dragic/Dragic/Plumlee for Jones/Capella/Terry(CUT)/Johnson/NOP 1st

If the Lakers are going to offer $80 million, then the Rockets are trading for a half season rental. Therefore, I wouldn't even offer a first.

Lakers should just wait for the off season instead of trading. Who else is going to offer Dragic a max? Also, you don't want Dragic to disturb the tank.

I dont expect him to get a max deal. If he's traded before the deadline to a team where he'll feel he has a good thing going, where he can contend, he'll sign a Lowry-type contract, something in the region of 50/4.
If he stays in Phoenix till the end of this season and he hits the open market, then money plays a bigger factor, and he could get 55-60 in 4 years.

As a Dragic fan I wish he's traded to Houston before the deadline. He would be good there, they badly need another playmaker, if one of Harden and Dragic is out there on the court at all times thats a huge upgrade over what they have now.

4 yr/80 mil?

That's not a good idea at all, and I like Dragic as a PG.

Lakers should just hope for D'Angelo Russell, and sign Jeff Green & Robin Lopez with their dough. Use the other 1st rd pick on a big, re-sign Wes Johnson to a cheap deal, maybe even Ellington too, and there ya go.

Russell/Clarkson
Bryant/Young
Green/W. Johnson
Randle/Black
Lopez/Sacre

If they get Okafor, try moving up for Tyus Jones.

T. Jones
Bryant
Green
Randle
Okafor

i really like goran, but 20mil per is too much for him imo...15 seems like a reasonable number

Nobody plays with Kobe any more. They either play instead of him, support him or stay out of his way.

Haha of course I was joking, nobody can play with Kobe.

I should have listened to Nelly before I thought watching the Lakers was going to be a good idea this season

Welcome to CFs :D

Morey has made some strange trades for Houston including recruiting Aaron Brooks twice, so bringing Dragic or Lin back wouldn't be out of the ordinary considering that none of them would have developed staying at Houston.

The problem is that Dragic may actually get worst coming back to Houston playing behind Harden in perhaps the same situation as Lin, as a spot up jump shooter or playmaker coming off the bench (where they desperately needs one). He certainly wouldn't want to play any lesser in minutes and without the ball than what he is getting at Phoenix.

Agreed, Dragic is NOT worth 80 million unless he is "Nash-like" reason his team is winning big and he makes Allstar.
