My god, why settle for trash when we can get a near 20 PER backup SCORING PG who can create his own shot. We'd have control over him for years and can easily get rid of him later if his contract gets in the way of a major free agent acquisition.
It would be a huge over pay for a back up PG $7,238,606 $6,912,869 $6,587,131 $6,261,394
But it is a descending contract. You could play some Wall with him having Wall guard the SG which could be outright nasty if you have a small PG and SG to cover. That could help you get him 22-25 mins a game.
Wall 30 as PG and 34-35 total leave 14 mins of PG right there. 6 mins with Wall gets you to 20 mins. More if the game is in hand then Wall can rest.
If you going to give up a first, that's a good place to do it. Trade them Miller back in the deal so the cap hit isn't there.
Give them Blair as well and pretty much no cap hit. And we can add a young big like Klem Birch or other DL call up if we want.
Huge upgrade in athleticism for the team.
I kind of like it. Specially since you can always move him again later and probably get our first back as long as we traded him with a least two years left on his contract. Its stored value.
And I love the little dudes confidence. He always has his game face on. He won't back down in the playoffs.
Man, imagine him and Wall on a FAST BREAK... That would be nuts. IT to WALL ALLEY OOPS..
